'Nice house and stay. Right by the road so traffic noise is a little loud. No access to river from back yard. No fireworks so that was great! No cell service but really fast internet and WiFi calling worked.'

'This lovely vintage house had everything we needed to feel right at home. Our only issue was slow streaming on one app only (MLB TV); the rest worked just fine. Beds are among the comfiest we’ve had in a vacation home.'

'We stayed at Deer Creek Retreat on our way from the Bay Area to Portland. It is a stunning location with a huge field populated by deer and turkeys. Far enough from I-5 that it’s not too noisy, but close enough that it’s convenient. Ashley was amazingly helpful and responsive to all of our questions. And the unit is beautifully fitted out – clean, comfortable, and charming with a lot of character and a great porch! We definitely would stay here again! Kristin '

'Great spot to stay for close access to fishing and other mountain sports. I noticed many white water rafters. The property is also close to Roseburg and the many wineries in the valley. Very clean and owner great people. Have a nice bar on property and there was small band playing Friday night.'

'Huge house with lots of room for family to spread out. Great location for touring area. Day trips to Bend and then Crater Lake. Hot tub was a nice extra well used. Only one shower besides one in master wasn’t ideal for 7 adults but worked out. We lived bonus living space sun room. Made a great yoga studio.'

'Needs some small fixes. We had a blast on the river, playing cornhole, hanging by the fire, and using the game room. However, the foosball table was not there. The owner was so easy to get ahold of and exceptionally helpful. His goat Oreo is a gem'

'This was a nicely furnished, very clean and comfortable home. The second bedroom is very small, only room for the double bed and two small night tables. The primary bedroom is quite adequate. Bathrooms are nice and well-appointed. Be sure to bring food with you because it is in a very sparsely populated area with no restaurants and minimal groceries nearby. I did not like that the owner required a VERY large damage deposit or a damage insurance policy. They must have had some serious trouble...

'We really enjoyed our stay. The view is amazing and having grown up in Cottage Grove, I had never enjoyed the view of Cottage Grove Lake from above. The house is super nice, well equipped. We were visited by turkeys and deer and enjoyed the beautiful sunrises and sunsets. The house is a very enjoyable 8 miles from town. We had dinner at Jack Sprats and it was excellent. Very enjoyable visit, thank you to the owners for sharing your home. '
