'De lodge is te bereiken via een goede gravel road. Let op! Gebruik niet Google Maps want die leidt je over een afgesloten privat road. Het ligt ongeveer 5km van het stadje Hilton. De lodges zijn in nieuwstaat. Wij zaten in de Guiney Fowl lodge. Een prachtige huiskamer met houtkachel en schouw. Er was WiFi beloofd middels een router maar omdat het gebied afgelegen ligt is de internetsnelheid zwaar ontoereikend. Een goed ingerichte moderne keuken, bijkeuken met was- en vaatwasmachine een aparte tv...

'Zeer mooi hotel op een mooie locatie. Leuk om hier wat rond te wandelen. Kamers zijn super en van alle gemakken voorzien. Ik zou hier echter alleen verblijven op doorreis. Ontbijt was ook top!'

'I regret booking this place, it’s very dull and needs a lot of maintenance, the wardrobe was outside our room, how in earth do you expect people to keep their clothes in the wardrobe placed on a passage where everyone has access on? There was no dustbin in our room and the toilet, I was not even told where the kitchen was, I booked for 2 people, but there was one glass, one towel for the entire 2days. We didn’t have the remote for the gate, so everytime we had to go out we had to phone because...

'Wensleydale Lodge is a gem, loved staying here.'

'The stay was ok as the location was convenient for the function I was attending. I had to pay extra for breakfast which I dont recall from the booking. The carpets were were shabby as was the 2 seater couch. The bed linen was clean! I was given a family unit. The space was awkward to move around due to the sleeper couch and 2 seater couch.'

'They are doing renovations at the property, and that took away from the stay. Also, they are new at this and there is room for improvement. I am sure when renovations are done, and they are more accustomed to running it. Things will be much better.'

'I was worried about the power issues in South Africa and I thought I might be impacted at this location but the guest house had power all night. '

'We were there to book in at 14:00 when we could book in, our room was not ready! It was not cleaned yet and we had to get ready for a wedding!! We had to wait till 14:50 till they were done cleaning and had to be atvthe wedsing T 16:00. We had to do our make up outside in the heat and was sweating because they were busy and we could not so it in the room with the aircon on. I had to rush doing my and my daughters hair. We were not impressed at all!'

'The property was nothing like what was advertised. No swimming pool, no water, very dirty place. Old cars parked allover the place. I felt very unsafe in that place.'

'We booked and paid fully for family room and we did not get it they said it's already booked and person at reception promises us to get some refund as we used small room. Still waiting for that money to be refunded.'

'Place was beautiful. However I am disappointed as the shower was terrible. Being Gas powered the water was ice old or extremely hot for 15 seconds. Ive reported the matter the person in charge of which I received no apology and i was told that the shower will be working perfectly the next morning. And not to my surprise it was not working. The water had sand as per the pics i will upload. The shower was ice cold and both my kids are now ill from standing in the shower waiting for hot water...
