Pensions in Herne Bay

'Despite an excellent location just next to the entrance to the cathedral, this hotel is another of those run-down, bleak firetraps from way back in the last century. You know it's old as soon as you climb the narrow stairs to the tiny reception area and notice the grimy carpet and chipped woodwork. Getting to your room involves climbing meandering stairs that go one way, up another short flight of stairs, and then still in another direction. (There is no lift.) My room had a nice bed but little...

'Centre of the town'

'Very friendly staff'

'The accommodation was clean and tidy. Everything promised was provided, and more. We received a warm welcome from a friendly host. However, the surroundings at the back were very noisy at night, which prevented us from opening the windows, making the room, especially at the front, quite warm.'

'Nice location on the outskirts of the City but easily walkable into the centre. Room was small but adequate and clean. Overall good value for money and free parking was a bonus. We would definitely stay here again.'

'Situated very remote but quite and green environment. No tv in the room, every day same breakfast existing out a pre-packed croissant, mango juice, some home made granola and some oat milk. Coffee is available in the room but does not get refilled once used. We stayed 2weeks, during that time the bed linen has not been changed and room is only cleaned once together with towels. Good for short stays… '

'Check room/bed amenities before leaving ours was in bad shape and not noticed until we returned'

'Old house, but very well maintained, Spacious room. Friendly host'

'Not worth the money for such small rooms. Prettier villages without horrendous traffic. Would not recommend.'

'Difficult to find, on a fishmarket, no way to check in earlier then 3pm (even when the room is ready), but Folkestone is great, that makes it more then okay! Room is small but very cosy. No closets, bathroom is small and not practical. Good bed, super view, great (expensive) diner at Rocksalt restaurant. Very nice stay'

'Lovely host, clean room and great breakfast. Will be back!'

'This is really lovely B&B, it's beautifully furnished, spotlessly clean and the staff are really friendly. It's in a great location, with beautiful seaviews, away from the noise of the main seafront area. Breakfast was delicious, with a great selection to choose from. I cannot recommend it enough, we hope to go back very soon.'
