'We stayed for one night at this darling bed and breakfast located in a secluded area in the mountains of Placerville. Our room was comfortable and had the most amazing view of the surrounding valley. 'The website needs to be updated. Part of the hotel looked abandoned and at first we thought it was closed. We chose this hotel because of location to a wedding, and the beautiful photos of the pool and jacuzzi that we talked up for the grandkids. Sadly, the pool and jacuzzi were inoperable. When discussed with the front desk we were told that the pump had blown and the owner hadn't gotten around to getting it fixed. 'Convenient location and affordable.'

'Appears to be short staffed...frequently sign at front check-in/desk rather than person. Proud of their old elevator...but floor of elevator frequently misaligns with room level floor making luggage cart useless. Access to our room was hindered by misaligned hardware - inside bolt and locking mechanism. Took a shoulder push to enter. Antiques abound. So if that is your thing...enjoy them. Parking is free...contrary to hotel reservation sites. Front desk issues paper parking pass for length of...

'Rude front desk.'

'Great place for a reasonable price. The room was clean, comfortable, and (surprisingly, because of the highway) very quiet. There's a bowling alley on the property that has a great little bar and grill attached and a Mexican restaurant next door. I'm not sure if it is in operation, but there is also a breakfast and lunch place next to that. The motel has a pool that I did not use, but it looked inviting. Overall, if you don't want to spend a fortune, you can't miss with this place.'

'The room was clean. Although the pool wasn’t heated and a bit dirty. Breakfast was okay, not anything special I’d say for $300 a night I expected more. Expedia also says there is a $20 parking fee. They charge you at the front desk at check in this “fee” which includes parking and amenities which are just like cucumber lemon water and these very small smoothies glasses by the front door. The fee turned out to be $120. I think for the price staying here wasn’t worth it. Although staff was kind.'

'Prompt service upon arrival, with excellent comp gifts on check in that made the stay even better. Conveniently located with a very short walk to food and entertainment. Old Town Pizza is right around the corner and you are missing out if you don’t get some. Parking lot is nice and the rooms are modernized. Can’t beat for the price and convenience.'
