We have just finished a COMPLETE and TOTAL renovation... Shiplap. Granite. Stacked stone. Warm fabrics. Fluffy towels. High thread-count sheets and puffy comforters. 4 sleeping spaces, 3 baths. Complete kitchen remodel with new Stainless LG appliances.

Local attractions include Lake Rabun, The Barn at Lake Rabun, Moonrise Distillery, The Lake Rabun Hotel, Minehaha Falls, Wander North Georgia, Tallulah Gorge, Halls Boat House, Lake Seed. Lake Burton, Wineries, The Appalachian Trail, many outdoor music festivals, kayaking, fantastic roads for motorcycles, sports cars and cycling, and much more. 3 minutes from the cool art village of Lakemont. Only 12 minutes from Clayton for great shopping and dining.

We require our quests to be respectful of our amazing community and wonderful neighbors. No "party house" situations allowed, no exceptions. Also, we require the responsible individual, (the renter) to be at least 25 years of age. Thank you for your understanding.

Lovely property, kitchen was well stocked and views beautiful from the porch. Loved the decorations style and everything was comfortable. The only thing to note is that one of the bedrooms is actually a loft bedroom with minimal privacy. Fine for our group because we put a younger teen up there but may of been awkward if it was a couple or adult that wanted privacy

Fabulous home

So much to say. Home was beautiful. View, fabulous, even from the hot tub. The kitchen was well appointed and very nice linens. Plenty of wine glasses, cookware, serving ware, etc. We stayed for our wedding week, got to take fabulous pictures, plenty of room for getting ready. The host was so accomodating. We will definitely be back!!

Everything was really beautiful! We were a little confused about the fourth bedroom, not realizing it was a loft with very little privacy. I think describing it better might be helpful. Yet, our friend group is resilient and still had a great time! One of our friends left her jewelry bag and the owners were helpful in helping her recover it. Also, a few more lights in the adorable breakfast nook would help!

Beautiful place

Perfect for a trip to the beautiful mountains in North Georgia! We were in town for a family wedding at Terra Incognita Vineyards and the location worked out great. We were able to spend some time in cute downtown Clayton as well, where there are several nice places to eat and cute shops. Everything was seamless and we would definitely stay at this home again.

Amazing Stay

The property was one of the cleanest and best equipped rentals we’ve stayed in. It had everything we needed for an extremely comfortable and relaxing stay. Exceptional home

This property is wholeheartedly recommended. The house is beautifully appointed and was perfect for our family. The loft and downstairs allowed everyone to fit perfectly. It’s location is beautiful. We were in town for a wedding and not familiar with the area at all. Sara was so nice to offer her recommendations on golfing, farmers markets, and shopping. Everything she recommended was great. The town of Clayton is a must to visit and just minutes away. The home has everything you need to enjoy your time. One of the nicest VRBO properties I’ve stayed at. If I ever come back to this area I will definitely stay here again!

Cozy, clean and updated

It was a girls weekend in this lovely mountain home for us four ladies (of a certain age). We took lots of time chatting on the porch deck and taking in the Fall beauty of the mountains. We visited nearby Tallulalah Falls. We hiked to the observation decks and toured the interesting museum. We especially enjoyed the thrift shops in Clayton and Hiawassee. Daniel’s Steak House provided a delicious and reasonably priced meal in Hiawassee. The host provided precise directions to the house. The road was a bit steep but quite doable. The suite on the lower level was charming. Highly recommend this home and it’s gracious host, Sarah.

FANTASTIC GETAWAY

We loved this very private property perched with the perfect views from the back porch. The owner has taken great care to make this place perfect and is extremely helpful and communicative. We LOVED everything about our long weekend at Mashburn. The entire home is beautifully decorated, comfortable and cozy. The kitchen is fully equipped, hot tub has an incredible view and the fire pit was so fun even in July. Nothing you will need is more than a 10-12 minute drive (groceries, dining, shopping, tubing, hiking, fishing, boating...) and downtown Clayton is AMAZING! We will be back!

Wonderful Home and Experience

We enjoyed staying at Lakemont. It was in a beautiful, peaceful location within a short drive into Clayton for shopping and restaurants. The home was so well appointed, and the owners have done such an amazing job with the design. We had everything we needed for our 4 night stay. My family really enjoyed spending time in the hot tub, and when temperatures dipped, we had plenty of opportunity to build a fire inside and outside. The owners even delivered firestarters to the house when we inquired. We want to return.

Perfect Mountain Home

My family has enjoyed this home two times now and it is always perfect. Sarah, the host, is so responsive and helpful. The home is perfectly equipped with everything you could need. It is also furnished in a stunning way and feels very luxurious. We will be back again and again!
