Set your sights on long-range views with visits to Bell Mountain in Hiawassee (17-minute drive) and Brasstown Bald (highest point in GA, (23-minute drive). Spend the day on Lake Chatuge with a boat or personal watercraft rental from a local marina or launch your own from nearby public access.

Want to immerse yourself in nature in the Nantahala National Forest? Bring your mountain bikes and ride the first-class trails at Jackrabbit Mountain (also great for hiking and dog-friendly) less than 15 minutes from the property. Fires Creek Recreation Area (26-minute drive) is another Western NC local favorite for hiking with picturesque views, swimming, and trout fishing. On the GA side, take a 28-minute drive to a waterfall hike via the High Shoals Falls Trail or make the 37-minute drive to Alpine Helen, GA for a taste of Bavaria in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Hungry and thirsty after a day of exploration? Visit the outstanding local restaurants, wineries, and breweries in and around downtown Hayesville and Hiawassee for not-to-be-missed tastes of local flavor.

Open-concept bungalow featuring a private king master bedroom and a comfortable living area with a pull-out queen sofa bed. The home includes one spacious shared bathroom with a tub and shower combination. Enjoy easy one-level living inside, plus a beautiful heated sunroom with adjustable windows to let in the fresh mountain air. Outside, stairs lead down to the fire pit and charcoal grill area. Street parking is available for up to two cars, with stairs leading from the parking area down to the front door.

The trash can beside the gazebo does not belong to the bungalow — the correct can is located at the bottom of the deck stairs.
