Bienvenue au Cottage Schoolhouse! Ici, vous goĂ»terez au calme, Ă  la dĂ©tente et Ă  la solitude au sein d'une Ă©cole de deux salles magnifiquement restaurĂ©e construite en 1848. Pendant votre sĂ©jour, vous serez entourĂ© d'artefacts historiques tout en bĂ©nĂ©ficiant de toutes les commoditĂ©s modernes. À seulement dix minutes de la place Dahlonega, pourtant nichĂ©e dans sa propre petite forĂȘt, la Schoolhouse est une retraite privĂ©e qui vous permet de rester proche de tout.

La "Schoolhouse" est située au pied des Appalaches, à quelques minutes de la ville de Dahlonega et de nombreuses attractions de la Géorgie du Nord. Parfait pour ceux qui recherchent un espace tranquille pour sortir de la ville, les amoureux de la nature, les amateurs de vin, les écrivains et les personnes intéressées à explorer la riche histoire de la région.

La chambre principale (qui fait partie de l'école d'origine) comprend un lit queen-size, une salle de bain avec douche et un porche privé avec moustiquaire accessible par une porte qui était autrefois l'entrée du bùtiment de l'école d'origine.

La deuxiĂšme chambre a un lit complet avec sommiers Ă  ressorts vintage. Il a Ă©galement une grande baignoire avec baignoire / douche.

Le salon fait Ă©galement partie de l’école d’origine et dispose d’un canapĂ© pliant qui peut accueillir un adulte de moins de 6 pieds. La literie et les oreillers sont fournis.

The best VRBO we’ve ever stayed in!! House was spotless! Looks exactly like the listing. Anything we needed was there! Callie thinks of everything from multiple wine and champs glasses to bathroom products that you might have forgotten. I spent at least 2 hrs everyday on the master balcony porch swing. The bed was so comfy and the linens we the best. We saw deer, fireflies and owls! The most perfect relaxing spot! Callie was very responsive to the few questions we had. Can’t wait for our next stay there.

Absolutely Wonderful Schoolhouse Cottage

Having family history in the Dahlonega area, the Schoolhouse Cottage was the perfect choice for us. Callie's attention to detail and her respect of history are such a part of the cottage from the beautiful decor to the books documenting the history of education as well as life in the mountains. I found pictures of my father as a young teacher in her book on schoolhouses and pictures of my grandfather as a long-time educator. We enjoyed our stay thoroughly and the Schoolhouse is our top choice when we return to Dahlonega.

Wonderful, peaceful stay

Callie was a wonderful host, and the property was gorgeous and neat as a pin. The porches are so relaxing, and the location was secluded yet convenient. We traveled for our son’s graduation from UNG, and our stay made it an even more fabulous trip. We’d give 10 stars if we could.

the schoolhouse from 1848 is WONDERFUL. beautifully loved and redone. the owner has put so much thought into her place, so many special touches. anything extra you might need, it’s here. hubby and I started joking that if it wasn’t provided we must not need it (really rare). we hope to return to dahlonega and we sure want to stay here.

This was a girls trip, just two of us. My friend always wanted to stay here, finally got the opportunity to
 and it was great! The only negative comment that we can give is, if you stay in the front bedroom, be prepared for a 6 AM wake up with the garbage truck (Friday morning for us)

This was our annual mother/daughter trip. The personal touches throughout the school house were perfect. One of the cleanest places I have ever stayed. We enjoyed the boardgames in the closet, sitting out by the fire pit, and just enjoying nature all around the house. Definitely would love to return here one day

Enjoyed the schoolhouse and all of its amenities. Callie is very detail oriented, which we enjoyed!! The house was very clean considering you can have your dogs. Oh My Gosh - Incredible!

We could not have loved our stay more at this little, adorable, magical converted school house. The home was absolutely lovely and immaculate. We loved the darling swing on the screened-in porch and the entire home was appointed lovely. We loved it so much, we already can't wait to go back. A definite 10/10!!! The absolute cutest and most comfortable place

This place is easily one of the best vacation homes I've ever stayed in. It is absolutely adorable and you can tell the minute you walk in that the owners love it. The kitchen is so well stocked. It was spotless. Communication was great. It's private and has a serene peaceful feeling. We spent a lot of time on the back porch watching the hummingbirds and deer. It's close to several vineyards, Cleveland, and downtown Dahlonega. I can't imagine staying anywhere else when I need a getaway weekend.

Wanted to stay longer

The renovated schoolhouse was perfect! Very private and beautiful surroundings. Cleanest place I’ve ever stayed in. The owner thought of so many special things to make our stay enjoyable. My stay at the old school cottage

First off I’d like to say, with this being a renovated old-school house it is truly immaculate; it has everything you need and more. If you don’t stay here and feel like you’re in a classroom with a huge library of reading material all around you then this place is not for you. There is reading material for all ages. There are areas all around the place to cuddle up with one of the many blankets they provide and a good book. I think the best part of my stay was the large back porch off the living room. I would sit there every evening and just listen to the peaceful sounds and the occasional ruffle of the leaves and wonder what furry friend is out there joining me. I saw the occasional deer stroll by and a possum foraging through the leaves looking for a treat. My daughter and her old pup joined me for the first few nights and then the rest of the week I was in total solitude. If you ever want a place to just get away for “me time“ this is the place to stay. Though, this is also a place for family time. There’s a wonderful well lit outdoor area with a fire pit and seating. There is also ample area for playing outdoor games. I can’t forget to mention the wonderful town of Dahlonega and all it has to offer. There are loads of wineries all around to visit and the beautiful Mountain views are breathtaking. This is definitely a place I will return when visiting Dahlonega. Thank you for having us. Linda L.

Lovely place to stay. The home so clean and comfy! The host thought of everything to make your stay perfect. The house was well stocked with the things you sometimes forget so you could continue to enjoy your time without multiple trips to the store. Wonderful Getaway

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the schoolhouse. The property was clean and charmingly remodeled. The cabin was well stocked/furnished and secluded enough to feel disconnected on vacation, but about 15 min easy drives from downtown Dahlonega and surrounding vinyards/restaurants. Would stay again for another getaway weekend or trip with another couple.
