'What a beautiful hotel, we had a fantastic stay. Exactly what you want in a lovely historic old hotel in a fantastic location in the Adelaide Hills. Beautifully restored, fireplaces galore, great welcoming bar and elegant dining room with fabulous wine room. Couldn’t fault the hotel, our room was so cosy and comfortable, gorgeous large marble bathroom and balcony (Tiers room). Good provisions provided for continental breakfast and snacks, great location, short drive up to Mount lofty lookout...

'We loved our stay at Mt Lofty House. Highly recommend the daily history tour at 4.30pm. All staff were really friendly, knowledgeable and engaging. Our room was divine. A tip, the cookies are the best. There’s a jar left out and topped up daily but it’s a bit of a secret. We dined at Martha’s and after a really busy day, loved the easy going nature of this restaurant. We also had the 7 course degustation menu at Hardys Veranda another night. 'This was a completely random find by us. These villas are part of a cooking school, but we were just there for the room. This was the most beautiful villa we've ever stayed at. It was beautiful, stunning architecture, beautifully furnished, it had an amazing complete designer kitchen which we didn't use, but which would be handy for longer stays, and it was not all that expensive. 'Off grid cabin / eco tiny home in a scenic area in the hills above Hahndorf. The property had 8 cabins which were really well spaced out giving a feeling of privacy and the area had many birds and kangaroos. Well laid out cabin with thoughtful additions from the host such as kindle/firefighter and matches for the koonara. A lovely stay, highly recommend.'

'We spent 4 nights at Hotel Panorama. It was convenient to the places we were visiting whilst in Adelaide and it is brand new, so generally everything sparkles! The free parking was appreciated. I had made a change to our booking prior to our visit, which hadn’t updated on the Hotel system when we booked in, however, the reception staff were able to sort it out for us.'

'I telephoned and it was disconnected. I went to reception which was under construction and dangerous. When I found someone they walked me back to reception through the mess of construction to pay difference of bill and give me a key. Room was clean and was ok for one night. No chairs. Tiny bathroom. Bed and pillows were comfortable. Parking was not the best. Place is well located to cafes and pub.'

'Uitstekend aparthotel op loopafstand van restaurantjes, bushaltes en grote supermarkt. Keuken met basisvoorzieningen om te kunnen koken. Snijplank mist maar verder voldoende keukengerei. Zeer vriendelijk personeel. Klein zwembad. Geen eten te koop in de lobby. Zeer goede geluidsisolatie, geen last van verkeer.'

'the Hotel is more like a motel with separate buildings behind the reception. However, design is modern, almost like a small resort, and great access to parking and to the main street of Hahndorf. The rooms are a good size and the bed is super comfy. One thing I am particular about is a good sized towel and their towels were bug and fluffy.. The rooms have a fridge, sink and tea/coffee which you dont really need given the great coffee in the area. Would totally stay here again'

'Really enjoyed the property, room and surrounding area. Only problem was that we did not receive any instructions on getting into our room and had to ring the staff for access. Other than that, perfect, would stay there again!'

'Located on the South Terrace and one of the few hotels with a pool (if I remember correctly). The room was beautiful and very modern. Some of the reception staff were rather unfriendly when we asked for extra towels. We were staying in a room with 3 people and there were always only 2 towels. So we asked 1 more a the reception for the room and 2 for the pool and he told us to use the same one?! Housekeeping was also weird sometimes, I had to write them a note to let them know there were 3...
