Blokhutten in Gualala

'We rent a lot of CA beach houses in our travels & this is one of our favorites after just spending five days there. Great location, stunning views, clean, well furnished & stocked, good hot tub & nice remodel. One suggestive criticism would be to spruce up the yard which is pretty but needs some TLC. Norm'

'Family-run hotel. Very nice people, and very accommodating. I see from some reviews that picky folk might be bothered that the decor is not the latest, and the tv is CRT instead of flatscreen, but the basics are there: clean room, comfortable bed, etc. And while they didn't provide breakfast on-site, with the money we saved by staying here, we got a great breakfast nearby at Schat's Bakery (down the street, and another one in the Friedman's Home Improvement store). There are some nice choices...

'The property was fantastic. The ocean view from our room was amazing. We enjoyed the hiking trails and the spectacular views! The food was good and the bar staff were friendly. A larger bar would be nice , but the ability to order a drink and take or to a different location nearby the bar with spectacular views makes up for a smaller bar.'

'The location on the bluffs above the ocean was beautiful although very isolated from any restaurants or shops. The food in the restaurant was very average and the service was slow - not good. I would not stay here again.'
