'Safe neighborhood'

'Had to stay overnight in Johnson City recently for an event at ETSU. chose this property due to the fact it was rated Excellent on Expedia, and it was fairly cheap. Upon arrival, I immediately knew I’d been duped. The grounds are not kept up at all. Not a bad sign when the outside looks like an abandoned building. The check in was fine, but upon entering the room you are met with humidity along the lines of a tropical rain forest. Imagine old, aging window unit AC that isn’t properly...

'This property is in poor condition. There is no gym, and the photos are outdated. The hotel appears run-down, with insufficient staff. There is black mold throughout the hotel, despite it being marketed as a non-smoking property. Trash cans were overflowing, and the entire hotel has a strong, unpleasant odor. The Continental breakfast was disappointing, with expired food and moldy bread. I am still awaiting a response from Expedia management regarding my complaint.'

'It was a good value, its an older hotel that has some updates. The room was clean, but there are lingering smells of an old hotel. No bugs, quiet, and clean sheets/towels - that's a win in my book! This was a 1 night stay on a weekend.'

'Wonderful place. Very clean and nice. Beds were comfortable. My only complaint is there were people yelling and cussing all night on the 4th floor. Other than that the hotel itself was worth the money. Staff was friendly as well.'
