'Only negative is the third bed was not made and we had only 2 sets of towels. After asking we tot the art of towels and linnen but had to make the bed ourself'

'When trying to sleep at night, I heard constant barking from dogs staying in nearby rooms. Also heard sirens most the night. Was checked into one room and it was ok. Then the second room I checked into had noticeable black mold on the wall in the bathroom. Also didn't seem like the floor in room was cleaned.'

'Truly horrible experience. My key cards failed 4 separate times. I was told to not put them near my phone or they demagnetize….HUH? I travel at least a dozen times a year for work and have NEVER ONCE had this issue. I also travel with a lot of camera gear, so lugging it up the elevator or stairs only to lug it back down to the office was exhausting. Room was clean enough. It’s a budget hotel. I get it. But it’s severely outdated, the fridge didn’t get very cold and the shower head had a leak...

'The Astro Motel is an absolute gem! The mid-century modern renovation is perfectly executed on the exterior and inside the rooms. The grounds are beautifully designed with lots of citrus, olive trees, grasses and pollinator-friendly plants. A couple of the original motel signs are incorporated into the landscape, too. Our room was sparkling clean...i know this because I spilled something on the floor within minutes of walking in. When I wiped up the spill, the towel had no dirt on it! I loved...

Restaurant/bar conveniently located on site. Free WiFi. Available parking. Cons - Large homeless population in vicinity. Restaurant not affiliated with hotel so no room service availability and closes early. Slow/weak Wifi. Parking is offsite about half a block away and not totally secure. Depending on how you book...
