Nice surroundings but close to main thoroughfare and restaurants and just across from downtown. (I brought a sleeping pill to sleep through the moderate street noise). Coffee available in lobby, nice surroundings and friendly bilingual personal, easy check in. Great value, recommended! '

'Cute little hotel in downtown Liberia. It's pretty basic but clean and the staff is incredibly helpful and accommodating. After our flight was cancelled on a Saturday evening, we ended up at El Cerro along with many others from the flight. The staff worked hard to get everyone settled, gave us late night dinner options, and booked cabs back to the airport for the morning. So grateful to the wonderful front desk person on Sat March 21!'

'Convenient close to the airport. 12 minute drive with our rental car. From the city it is also only a 5 minute drive. I would not recommend to walk. Breakfast was freshly made and consists out of typical Costa Rican hot dish, toast, cereals and fresh fruit. We did not eat at the restaurant in the evening. The room was convenient and clean. The bed was good. Relaxing at the end of the day you can do at the well maintained pool area. The entire staff was friendly and helpful. '

'Erg goede optie als je in de omgeving van het nationale park rincon de la vieja wilt verblijven. Toegang tot de warmwaterbronnen van rio negro zijn gratis als je hier verblijft (ca €20 pp). Hotel ziet er netjes uit en alle noodzakelijke dingen aanwezig. Eten in het restaurant ook lekker. Tip: als je water mee wil nemen, koop dat dan op voorhand. 1,5l water kost bijna €6'

'Noisy from highway if you have a room at front of building. Did not feel secure. Small rooms for 2 double sized beds. We barely fit with our luggage. '

'What an awesome experience! The very friendly and attentive staff really add up to this beautiful and relaxing place. Especially the area with volcanic heated hottubs, surrounded by the forest, is spectacular. The horse riding tour which ended ziplining on the compound is a must. Had a lot of fun with the guys, who where true professionals! We will come back for sure!'

'Gaetano is a very friendly and helpful host with beautiful accomodations in the middle of the nature. Therefore it's also a bit remote, so for groceries or dining out you'll have to travel.'
