'Very pleased with our 2 night stay. Very comfortable room with a lovely view of Bodega Bay. Housekeeping staff were very attentive. The pool, hot tub and sauna are a huge plus. As others have mentioned, the continental breakfast is basic but does the trick. Would be nice if they offered just muffins, boiled eggs and coffee and tea in the main office rather than a whole sit down affair across the highway. Other than that, very pleased and will return.'

'Highland Dell is a lovely old lodge overlooking the beautiful Russian River. The host were friendly and helpful. The bed is very comfortable. I highly recommend dining at the restaurant. Our schnitzel was excellent and the house-made apple strudel is unsurpassed! I keep thinking about it. The breakfast included with the room is the best, by far, I have had at a hotel. Try the pastries. The rooms are VERY small, but nice, like in the old days when people didn't have as much stuff. Get over it....

'We love it up here. A true gem by the Russian River. This was our second stay up here and the staff and property are amazing. Spacious cabins, comfortable beds, modern bathrooms and overall decor. 'Our stay at Surrey was delightful! We were welcomed warmly and immediately felt comfortable and cared for. Bailey arranged for us to switch tents graciously and with ease. Oli was especially kind and treated us to a delicious peanut butter cookie from the cafe. She later brought us a sample of an appetizer from a recipe that she was trying and it was such a treat!
