Strandhotels in Georgetown

'The amenities on Travelocity site does not match the amenities Vacasa sends to you after you book. No washer, no (working?) central heating (1 electric oil heater on wheels provided). Safety lists deadbolt lock but only 2 of 5 doors have a deadbolt, 2 doors have no locks or latches. Several windows also don't have locks. 'The uniqueness of the cabin made it an amazing place to stay. We loved the view out the windows to the rocks and water. We climbed the rocks every day and took all the way to Reid State Park (don’t forget to bring park pass). Five Island Lobster is a must to get fresh lobster brought in by the fisherman. Met a couple from Maine that lived 2 hours away and they said it was the best lobster in Maine. It was amazing the whole 1.75 lbs lobster. Did a 3 hour drive to Acadia National Park. ...

'From our "Point of View" this is one of the most wonderful homes in all of Maine. From the beautiful home to the unbelievable views to the dock on the bay to the kayaks to the basement game room to the solo stove firepit and hot tub and sauna to the amazing Reid State Park beach up the road to the authentic and delicious Five Islands Lobster Pound 5-minutes away.... we couldn't have asked for anything more for our family vacation to Maine.... we even cooked mussels that we harvested off the dock...

'House was big, nice, in great shape and clean. Georgetown doesn’t have much going on, but there are numerous nice small towns to visit within 15-30 minute drive. A little farther gets you to Portland and Freeport. Acadia is a 3 hour drive, but worth it. House itself is secluded in the woods, nice hot tub. '
