Before check in , someone at the hotel called and asked what time I would check in. Told her that I would check in after midnight probably 12:30am. She said that she needed to charge at 10:00 pm to my credit card and all I do is just call the front desk upon my arrival so the on call guy would let me check in. Around 12:30 am, I called the front desk and waited to be checked in. About 15min of waiting at the door, someone came to me
and said that I needed to speak someone as he switched his phone on speaker phone mode. Then he asked me to speak to someone on the line. The person who was on the line told me that I cancelled my reservation this afternoon and my card transaction was declined in a very overbearing tone. I told him you are not talking to the same guy because I have never talked to you about my reservations and never gave my credit card number to you as I showed my receipt and reservation from Expedia to the on call guy standing right next to me.
Then he said “ I will let you stay but you have to give your credit card and ID to the on call person and will get you back once you check out in the morning “ I could not believe what I was hearing. I composed myself again and told him that my reservation is booked and paid. He said that he would come to the hotel as I was stayed at the check in office 30min.
A minute later , on call guy abruptly brought check in paper which has my name on it along with room cards. Then he called the manager not to come. And he apologized
