We stayed here for a week and had a mixed experience. About a week before arrival, we were told the second shower had very low water pressure, making it essentially unusable, and the oven also did not work during our stay. Since this was advertised as a 2 bed / 2 bath unit, this was disappointing and inconvenient. I requested a partial refund and am getting the run around on that. When we reached out to the host with issues, we were given advice on what to do rather than having the problems handled, which would have been appreciated. The unit also felt quite outdated. There are positives: the view is beautiful, the space is large, and beach chairs, toys, and an umbrella were provided. The location is convenient—close to a grocery store and to Lauderdale-by-the-Sea. The air conditioning worked very well and helped drown out noise. This property has a tiki bar and a party atmosphere. It was spring break week, so we expected it to be busier, but it was still quite loud at times with college-aged guests. There is also construction on both sides of the hotel, which created significant noise when trying to relax on the beach.Valet parking is mandatory at 18 per day, and tipping each time you retrieve your car adds to the cost.Overall, the view and size of the unit were nice, but the maintenance issues, added costs, outdated condition, and noise level made the stay less comfortable than expected.
