Great experience at Folly. Location is perfect as its tucked away from the hustle of Central St! Full of old Folly charm! Pool was perfect for adult relaxation. Houses are rather close so a lot of noise at property next door did not make for a relaxing day (i.e. property maintenance/yard work)

The location is perfect! We celebrated our 18th wedding anniversary! This location is perfect for a couple! We loved the private plunge pool and just a few steps to the ocean! A short drive for some yummy food and 30 mins to Charleston! We will definitely be a repeat customer!

Weekend Getaway

My husband and I stayed here for our babymoon and had a wonderful trip. We had a little water issue that seemed like it could have been remedied prior to our check in but the management company handled it very quickly. Overall the cottage was clean, cozy, and the heated pool was fantastic for the cooler weather. Highly recommend.

Relaxing vacation

Perfect location with an outstanding view. The heated pool was much enjoyed for our stay in early March. Everything was clean and we had plenty of towels and extra linens which was nice. Host was very responsive. We can’t wait to come back and looking forward to another relaxing stay.

Solo Sabbatical

The plunge pool offered nightly plunges and reflection. The master bed was cozy, comfy. Charleston is a stones throw away and a traffic-free drive under 20min. Morning beach-walks to the pier are ideal for exercise and collecting shark teeth. Bert’s has boiled peanuts and newspapers to say the least.

Quaint and cozy cottage with very sketchy and unreliable internet service. Updated interior and lovely pool but no instructions on its use ( ie lighting, etc ). Overall great getaway for two just don’t expect to be connected to the internet.

So this is a very cute little spot ! And the pool is a plus loved it .. things I didn’t like . Upon arriving the floor was dirty ! Pool needed cleaned and should have been between each guest!( they did come clean it the next day ) there is some kind of mildew looking stuff along bottom of shower ? The internet never did work they did send a team member out but still didn’t work no one ever came from the cable company to try and fix it . I know this isn’t a big deal to most but when you have a child with special needs it’s a big deal !! Had to get in my car daily and go down the road so he could watch his favorite daily shows and spending 1/2 of our vacation wasn’t my plan . There are things they could update like the bathroom !! But it is a really cute quiet place . I just feel like I spent way to much money to stay here for me to have to clean ! and no internet ! And mildew or whatever that nasty stuff was outside the shower and a bathroom sink that’s made for a child .. I wouldn’t say I would never stay again but I’d definitely make sure all these things were addressed before hand …

Beautiful Property

If you are looking for a beach stay property with a pool this is a wonderful option. Situated directly on the beach with a deck, pool and outdoor shower. The location cannot be beat! The instructions from the owner were easy to follow and I was able to get in touch with them by text message when I had questions. There were no linens for the pull out couch so we messaged them and a top sheet and pillowcase were delivered the next morning. We needed a fitted sheet, pillow and blanket for the pull-out so we ended up buying those and if you prefer a duvet or heavier blanket to sleep you will need to purchase that as well for the master bed. Opportunities to enhance guest experience would be to provide beach towels, beach chairs, maybe a boogie board, a float or a beach ball, small cooler. All things we ended up buying and leaving behind in hopes to be shared with future guests as we could not take all those things home on a plane. Make sure to keep the door to the porch closed as the humidity brings out some funky odors from the big couch. The pool water was quite warm as to be expected but cooled down with the rain showers. Pool was clean and was delighted to see the "pool guy" come and clean and test the water twice during our stay. He did tell us the pool had jets like a hot-tub but that they were non-operational so we didn't get to take advantage of that. There is a cute corner store on the same road as the house that has everything including ice and adult beverage

Love spending time here

We have vacationed here since 1993. And this is the only time we have had an issue with the property we stayed at. The heated pool was broken our entire stay and while things like that are going to happen the way it was handled was very unprofessional. I feel sorry for the owner knowing the property is managed like this. I will be extremely selective picking my next rental on the island as not to select this specific management company. #disappointed

There’s always pros and cons Pros - open door and there the beach is ! Quite! Private pool ! Such a plus when you have a child with special needs ! CONS : not as clean as I would like ! Bed / pillows had an odor had to wash ! Think pillows need replaced! Bathroom is horrible no storage at all for toilets! Maybe should have a sink with cabinet and counter space ! Might be a good ideal to put a small storage cabinet in hall under the mirror I wear makeup and found that this is not a friendly space for getting ready ! Definitely needs back porch worked on . I would stay again due to the fact my child loved the pool and how private it was there . It was a nice relaxing time !
