'The cottage was just as it was advertised but a nice surprise was the perfect location. We were constantly entertained by the views, the boats using the jetty, the bird life and of course the dog walkers who were always friendly. A lovely little cottage.'

'Given the lack of other accommodation available in Port Elliot, the rate is rather high for a Youth Hostel. Room was a bit stuffy and had to keep the window open and the fan going to get rid of the musty smell. Very small ensuite and shower.'

'Julie and I had a fabulous stay. The Cottage is decorated beautifully, and the little touches put in by Barry and Angela were much appreciated. The setting is quiet and tranquil, the kangaroos and variety of bird species allows you to get back in touch with nature. Just the sort of holiday we were looking for. I would recommend Peppercorn Cottage to anyone looking for a quiet getaway. Regards Robert Large'

'Really lovely spot with beachfront views of Knights beach from living room and master bedroom. Cleanliness of bathrooms and kitchen could be improved, on arrival we found the table was sticky and dishes / glassware not clean. Tile grout in bathrooms could be improved and new bed linen would make a major difference. We found a vacuum and broom to tidy ourselves but no vac charger. Hosts lovely and easy to communicate with. Thanks for the stay.'

'There were not a lot of options in the area so we chose the Lady Bay. Great views over the beach and golf course and nice and quiet at night. Staff were lovely and bar and restaurant excellent. Sadly the place needs a bit of work and the ducted air con was noisy and blew too much air in the bedroom. There were no insect screens on the sliding doors so made life difficult without the air con. Shower was fantastic. Need a mattress topper on the King beds too.'
