'We had a great 3 night stay at Guest Mar. The staff were super friendly and helpful - the breakfast was delicious and it was very handy to be able to use the kitchen throughout the day. Comfortable bed and a good shower. Space was a bit tight in our room, but it was workable. We made use of the shared spaces - rooftop, kitchen and reading room. All in all a lovely guesthouse.'

'We had an amazing stay at Vila Milreu! We were made to feel very welcome even when we arrived really late. The staff are brilliant and extremely friendly. The hotel is gorgeous, especially the pool area. The grounds are beautiful. The whole hotel had a relaxed atmosphere. Breakfast was delicious and filling with plenty of different foods to choose from. We would highly recommend and would definitely stay again if we were in the area.'

'Het is een bijzondere hotel, heel leuk ingericht. Knus, kleinschalig en heel gezellig! Wat tegenviel, de grote van de kamer, luchtvochtigheid was hoog (misschien omdat het regende), de kamer rook naar schimmel ook ivm regen denk ik. 'We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The hotel was in an excellent location in a quiet area but also near the train station and the town. The hosts Cláudia and Luis have put a lot of time and effort into ensuring the rooms are comfortable and the breakfast was delicious with freshly baked bread, homemade jam and good quality coffee. 'Excellent location, very nice restaurants and bars in the neighbourhood. Bedrooms were very clean and felt luxurious. The whole building smelled nice, reminded me of a spa. We're lucky to able to park in front of the building (€1/hour 9am - 19 pm)'

'Nice stay for a few days, welcomed really well. Room is decent, with enough room but not too much. The roof terasse was a big plus. The only downside is that there is alot of noice in the eavning because of the bars closeby.'

'Wonderful place to stay. Chantale et Jean Paul very sweet, welcoming, extremely helpful and attentive. Truly a boutique hotel in best sense of the word. An oasis in the area of quiet, calm, peaceful garden with fruit trees, replete with an excellent cat. Breakfast superb!! Healthy even with fruit from the garden with something specially home made every morning. A high point of our trip. Shower excellent. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.'

'The room was okay only it was very noisy so I couldn’t sleep and had to wake up early to catch my flight. Further the light was turned on every time in the corridor and the light shines into the room, this was very uncomfortable on the ground floor. The owner was very helpful in organising the taxi for me and giving tips to good restaurant. '

'We chose this accommodation because it was close to the airport and we had an early flight in the morning. The staff was friendly and helpful, they arranged a taxi for the next morning and gave us the address of a good restaurant for dinner because their restaurant is closed on Sunday. The grounds were nice, the room was clean, the shower was very small and not very handy.'

'We enjoyed our beach Christmas. We loved walking over to the 2 cafes. Plenty of blankets to snuggle in at night. Plenty of dining options even in the off season. Easy to get to by Uber or ferry, there is also a bus but the construction on the bridge means the stop is far away. For Uber, make sure you look at google maps so you can get from the street to the house easily. Once you’ve done it it’s easy but the first time in the dark can be fun!
