We had the best time, the house and all accommodations were beyond our expectations! The owners provide more than any other property we have stayed at through VRBO, we basically only need to bring our self’s, food and clothing. It was perfectly located close Harbor Light Marina where we launched our boat. The dock was covered which was an added bonus as we did have a heavy rain storm and it kept us and the boat from getting drenched. EXCELLENT place to stay, we will be returning.

Family time

This house was quite cozy! There were only four of us, but it could definitely accommodate many more. The place was clean and well-stocked, and the location was fantastic—right next to waterfront restaurants and Party Island. The host was very helpful with local recommendations, and the dock was perfect. We had a great stay!

Birthday Getaway

My family and I stumbled upon this listing while frantically looking for somewhere to stay close to Clemson. We had booked another property prior to our stay; however, due to damage from hurricane Helene our plans quickly changed. About a week before our trip, I found this newly remodeled VRBO for rent that met our needs This place exceeded all of our expectations. The home is nestled on Lake Hartwell, which we had direct access to a private dock where we could launch our kayaks or enjoy the view from the dock swing. We had more than enough room for our family of 5 and 2 dogs. The pool room was a real bonus as we spent most of our time in there. Between the view, privacy, and amenities, the price was unbeatable. We look forward to renting again in the future!

Great getaway near Atlanta

The house was comfortable and well equipped. Communication made things simple. The dock is great and the kids enjoyed coming along for golf cart rides down and back on the cart path. Would definitely recommend a stay.

Weekend getaway for a WEDDING!!

My daughter love Hartwell and minimalism so we had her wedding at the Botanical gardens. This was her mother and my house for the weekend and we entertained the whole wedding party (10 folks) easily for dinner for a couple of evenings. Very quiet. Very well supplied. One lil family stayed an evening with us and the baby enjoyed the deck with us and the walks to the water to throw rocks. Our dogs were worn to a frazzle walking back and forth to the water. THAT WAS A BLESSING AS WELL!!! Wife already talking about another visit.

Family Fun

Very peaceful! Very clean! Had everything we needed. The walk to the dock is nice. Enjoyed the chairs and floats at the dock. Golf cart was an added bonus. We enjoyed the kayak and having a boat slip. We had 12 adults and 1 toddler so space was a little tight but we made it work! We had a great weekend together!

End of summer relaxation

We had a nice family stay at the lake before school starts again. The house was great for two generations to have our own space with two living rooms, and then being able to all gather as well. We ate most of our meals on the deck and enjoyed the ample seating on the dock. We were delighted that the kitchen was well stocked. Our one very small problem was answered soon by the owner. The house had more games than we could play. Great family relaxation time!

A little Small

The lake location was great. The house, in general, was ok, but the kitchen lights did not work over the kitchen island. We had nine people in our family, and the kitchen was way too small. There was only one route to the kitchen from the living room. The house had been remodeled, and they put the sink in the kitchen island, which took away the area to prep meals. There is no garbage disposal in the sink. The other kitchen top had other appliances that occupied most of the space. There were a lot of spider webs and yellow jackets nested around the house. I'm not sure when the last time the outside of the house was cleaned was, but it was a challenge. For a family of 4, it would be a great vacation spot, but with 6 or 7 adults, it was a challenge with only two full bathrooms. There is an additional house with a bunk bed and bed with a pool table and refer, but no bathroom, which I thought was odd.

Isbill Annual Family Vacation

Great house! Great location. Quiet area, not crowded with boats and jet skis. The golf cart was soooo helpful. Plenty of sleeping space for surprise guests. The AC worked great. The kitchen was well equipped for large groups. Plan meals ahead and shop ahead. You are a long way from the store.There are tvs in every room. We loved this place and will rent again.

Family stayed at this property for my daughter’s graduation from Clemson University. Great property on Lake Hartwell. Really nice deep water dock good for fishing, swimming, and tanning. Kayaks and paddle board on property. Boat and Jet Ski rentals nearby if needed. Would definitely recommend to anyone that wants to enjoy some time on the lake!

Weekend getaway

Our family enjoyed our stay. Beautiful clean home and property! We visit this area a couple times a year due to having family here. My brother and nieces live close and we were all able to get together at the house and have a nice visit. My only suggestion would be to have the cleaning company wipe down the outdoor furniture and sweep the porches. Everything was covered in spider webs which is understandable, but still needed done. No more hotel stays now that we found this place. We will definitely be back.

Exceeded our expectations!

Every aspect of this stay was 5 stars! The hosts were extremely responsive and helpful, the property was clean, well appointed, spacious, and everything it claimed in the listing. We stayed with our dog and 2 small children and the accommodations were more than enough if our party had been triple the size! The property was well maintained inside and out and even during a time when lake levels were very low, there was deep water and good fishing from the dock. Golf cart was a huge bonus as well! We will definitely stay here again and highly recommend booking your stay here as well

Wonderful generational property

I had the pleasure of staying at this fantastic property for our family reunion, and it exceeded all our expectations. This place was a hit with every generation in our family. Perfect Lake Getaway!

If you are looking for a perfect spot on Lake Hartwell, this is it! Communication with owner was great. Dan was very responsive and helpful anytime I had a question. The dock location close to big water was great for boating and swimming. Property is well maintained and firepit was great after long days on the lake. We had a large group of adults, teens, kids, and dogs. Plenty of room for everyone. Had an awesome time and would definitly rent this property again! Shawn M
