Chalet-style apartment between walking and bouldering (CHALET NUCLEO 12)

If you love the mountains and are a sports enthusiast of trekking, climbing or cycling, there is no better destination than CHALET NUCLEO 12 for your active holiday in Chironico, the temple of bouldering! As a couple, with friends, as a family, this three-bedroom apartment located in a typical house in the Leventina Valley is reminiscent of chalets, thanks to the warm and welcoming wooden style. The apartment is also perfect for those who want relaxation and tranquility surrounded by mountain landscapes, but not far from the city. CHALET NUCLEO 12 is arranged on 3 levels. On the ground floor, there is a large living room with TV and a large sofa to watch a movie after a day of trekking and walking; next to it, there is a laundry room equipped with washing machine and dryer available for guests. Going up to the first floor, there is the dining room with a large table for 8 and a spacious eat-in kitchen, complete with everything you need to cook and serve meals like at home, with a table for 4 people. Furthermore, there is a service bathroom with toilet. Going up the stairs, on the second floor there are three bedrooms, two double bedrooms with wardrobes and a single bedroom with a large chest of drawers; a large bathroom with shower completes the apartment.

WARNING: the fireplace is only decorative and CANNOT BE USED!



Quality bedding, towels and a courtesy kit are provided. 

We also leave a gift basket with some necessary items for your first breakfast.

You can park in the free public parking spaces available in the town, a few meters from the house.

Chironico is a picturesque village in the Leventina Valley, where you can breathe the high mountains atmosphere, albeit only 40 minutes from the nearest town, Bellinzona. Chironico is an important destination for climbers from all over Europe: it is here that many sportsmen come to boulder in the Bouldering Area created thousands of years ago. A beautiful guide dedicated to the routes to reach the best climbing points is published on the web, the Chironico Boulder Guide. From Chironico, it is also possible to reach the magical Chironico lake, through one of the many paths that start and pass from the town. Faido, the largest municipality in the Leventina, can be reached in 10 minutes by car: here you will find 3 supermarkets, a famous bakery that produces typical products, 2 pharmacies, a butcher\'s shop and a dairy store selling local products. Among the most visited natural landscapes in the area there are the wonderful Piumogna waterfalls, very popular with tourists in summer. For mountain lovers, there are numerous trekking routes on the peaks of Pizzo Pettine, Pizzo Molare, Pizzo Forno and Carì, famous for its very popular ski area during winter.



How to arrive:

By car, both from the south (Bellinzona) and from the north (Erstfeld) from the A2 motorway, take exit 44-Biasca towards Biasca / Lucomagno and set the GPS: In 10 minutes you will reach the apartment. 

By train, from Bellinzona take the train towards Basel and get off at Lavorgo station. From here take bus No. 123 towards “Chironico, Grumo” for 3 stops and get off at “Chironico, Paese”.
