'This was a very old historical building in as good of a shape as it could be. Some uneven floors and a lot of steps to get to your room. It was small and quiet charming. The staff was pleasant and helpful. A bus stop was right out the side. Very pleasant. The bed was nice, no air conditioning, but it was fairly cool when we went in August, 2026. They had a fan. We are from Florida so the low 70's was a joy for us for August.'

'We enjoyed the spacious suite that had a gorgeous view of Durham Cathedral. The location was perfect walking distance to the river and attractions and restaurants in town.'

'Better than expected. Don’t write off these hotels. Way nicer than many upmarket properties out there.'

'Good restaurant. Just some noice from the pub.'

'We enjoyed our stay. Friendly staff. Loads of old Roman ruins around the property '

'Unfortunately my wife had fairly bad illness during our stay, through no fault of the hotel, but I would like to praise the staff, especially the night manager for the assistance to transfer my wife to hospital.'

'Mooi en grote kamer, lounge en restaurant. Maar waarom houten vloeren, het piept en kraakt, heel irritant'

'Good size bedroom, excellent breakfast, great staff'

'Mooi hotel, met goed Engels ontbijt.'

'What a lovely little spot, we really enjoyed our time here, it had everything we needed and our dog absolutely loved it! Very clean, had all the essentials and had a pub close enough to wander down to. '

'Quirky rooms but very unclean, tv was like watching a tv from 2010 terrible quality.'

'Heerlijk verblijf gehad. Enige minpuntje is dat we een panorama room geboekt hadden en ons uitzicht bestond uit alleen maar dakpannen. Verder zeker een aanrader!'
