'Loved the home. The owner was quick to respond. Very spacious. We didn't have time to be outdoor but the front was cute with its firepit and chair. I don't know about the backyard there a huge from where we saw out the kitchen window. The supermarket, pharmacy,,gas station fast food was about 10 minutes away.'

'Much older home with 2 bathrooms ,one on second floor and one on third floor . There was an awful smell coming from the tub on 3rd, floor. My son being a plumber said it was not vented properly. Bedrooms were all upstairs 2nd and 3rd floor, very comfortable beds and clean, Stairs were narrow and hard to climb for the older ones staying, especially just to go to bathroom. Only 1 parking space for property so any extra vehicles had to park elsewhere away from the house, We had to be dropped off...

'House & grounds are beautiful. They aren’t kidding! Stairs are steep! Very comfortable stay. Could not get response from my notes to owners regarding a few questions, but did receive two informative form emails from them while we were there. Overall, good stay.'

'This is our second rental of this property for our high school wrestling team traveling to Hershey for states. It is perfect for our group, always clean, and just as advertised. Great place to stay!'

'House was nice, good location. Furniture was dated. But was in good shape. Front door key pad was hard to open on the first try. Had to try up to 3 times for it to work. All in all it was a good rental property'

'Perfect stay for our scout troop weekend at Hersheypark. The house was clean and comfortable and had all of the amenities we needed and plenty of space for our group. It was a safe quiet neighborhood about 20 minutes from the park. As others have mentioned, the stairs are steep and the downstairs much colder than upstairs but overall it was exactly what we needed, would stay here again.'

'Spent two nights at the house for a volleyball tournament. Very easy to get to Nook. House is very nice near a river which is very soothing. Sun room was a favorite for our stay. Covered bridge is a short walk down the road which was neat to see. I would definitely stay here again.'

'It is an amazing house with large areas for playing board games, lots of sleeping arrangements and plenty of bathrooms. There were candy treats, coffee options and a basket of fresh eggs. The kitchen is large and well equipped. The house was very cozy and welcoming when we arrived. A very unique property in an area with a good hiking trail you can walk to and the town of Marietta to explore. Our group of twelve all want to return!'

'With a spacious living room, three large bedrooms (and one small) this beautiful farmhouse was conveniently located to Mt. Joy. The owners live on the other side of French doors, so there might be some noise transference. (We were never there during the day, so we have no direct knowledge of this.) The only thing that was awkward was that there was no sink or water on the first floor. Since we weren't going to be cooking, I didn't think that would be a problem. But to dump your coffee cup or...

'We had to come up for a funeral so it was so nice to have a place for the whole family to stay. Loved all the bedrooms and living room was great for us to catch up with each other. The kitchen was beautiful. Would stay again if back in the area.'

'We stayed 2 nights over Memorial Day weekend for a belated 16th Birthday for my daughter. We brought 6 of her friends and they had an amazing time in the pool, the hot tub, and hanging out in the spacious bottom floor. The host, Andrea, was extremely helpful in helping us find a great pizza place for them and made sure everything was perfect for them. Would 100% stay there again!'

'I've been driving by The Shoe for over 40 years and finally took the opportunity to spend a weekend there with life-long friends. It.Was.Fantastic!!!! It's cozy, cool, creative, and full of history! We were thankful for rainy weather because we did not want to leave! Thank you, Thank You, THANK YOU to the owners and host for preserving this iconic York County site and for the perfect place to have a mini-vacay with my girls!'
