'Cozy little cabin. Great location for us. It was a very relaxing weekend getaway!'

'Cabin was exactly as described on the website. Great hiking less than 10mins away. An ideal location to say the least.'

'Very clean. Very relaxing. Enjoyed going to the garden of the gods trails and hiking. Host was very responsive and friendly. My pets had the best time and I think it’s so awesome that they allow them. Location is beautiful. Will definitely be back'

'It is a very peaceful environment. Walking the property offers opportunities for quiet reflection , as does simply sitting on the porch overlooking the river.'

'The unit was more than I expected. The cabin was furnished with comfortable seating indoors, a full kitchen, TV, comfortable bed, clean bathroom with a hot shower, and more. I will definitely be booking this place again for another getaway.'

'Pros: quiet little cabin, tucked just inside from a street. Clean & cozy. Cons 1. Mattress: It was too soft & saggy in the middle. Another reviewer mentioned this too. I wasn't able to get a restful night's sleep. Either my knees or neck would be sore in the mornings 2. Not enough brightness / lights: The interior feels dark - with an okay ceiling light, where 1-2 if the bulbs would slowly go dim as tine went on. Kitchen light was brigther.'

'Absolutely beautiful place inside and out. Had everything u could ever need at a place'

'Great location - cabin is nicely equipped with basic necessities. Couldn’t have a fire because of dryness in the area but loved the hot tub for achy muscles and relaxation. Would come again '

'Great place off the beaten path'

'Very clean and so cute! Our host responded quickly. It was very peaceful. Just what we were looking for. We would recommend to others.'

'Definitely will come back A+++ . Hot tub was perfect but definitely needs a umbrella for day time soaks. Shawnee is a beautiful place to relax with Nature.'

'We had such an awesome stay at the Shawnee Apple Shack. It was so cute, clean, and had everything that we needed! There was plenty to do in the Southern Illinois area for the weekend. We definitely recommend staying there and would love to come back sometime!'

'It was a nice getaway, would have given a 5 star except the heat wasn't working well the first night but we got it going in the morning and were great after that '

'Great little cabin, pefect for our stay! Clean, stocked with everything you could need. Great location, quiet and relaxing!'

'We had a very nice stay. I am really picky about cleanliness. Hot tub was very relaxing!'

'Cozy and quiet. Hot tub was wonderful. Hosts very accommodating!'

'Our stay was absolutely wonderful! The treehouse experience was something we wanted to do for a while and this was a beautiful setting. The sheets were soft, the bed was comfortable, and the cabin was clean. We would definitely recommend the treehouse.'
