'Blabjorg is an exceptional place. The location is great, the rooms are fantastic, the personel is super friendly&we loved the spa even though at this point it is only indoor since they are repairing the outdoor spa because of storm damage last year. As well great breakfast, really nice diner and a stunningly cute village!'

'We had a nice stay with a very helpfull guestlady and owner who helped us out a lot when we were unfortunate enough to encounter a flat tire. The surroundings of this hotel are beautiful with the mountains and fjord to look over. Breakfast was nice with local icelandic bread.'

'The hotel and the location are amazing, walking distance to everything. Great views of the mountains and the whole town. Only problem we had was getting a place to have breakfast, the hotel recommends Hotel Aldan but we showed up at 8 in the morning and they did not have breakfast available (there was a group that was having breakfast) but they told us that they didn't have for the 2 of us. Only coffee was available?! Other than that a great stay, but be aware of maybe packing your own food in...

'What a magnificent hotel, wow. Room was super nice and clean. Common area with fridge is a great idea btw. And to top it all: there was an arctic fox den nearby, so we saw cute little arctic fox pups near our room. Loved everything about this place! This is THE hotel to stay at when considering a trip to Askja or other nearby F road adventures. '

'Cosy guesthouse in the middle of nowhere. The owner, Siggi, gave us a very warm welcome when we arrived and we had a great chat with him over morning coffee. The room and facilities were excellent; next to the room itself there's a well equipped common area with sofas, TV, fridge, etcetera. Excellent bed and pillows. Got a tasty breakfast buffet even though it just the two of us that morning. Would come again!'

'The road to the property was rough, the property is inside a farm, the room was clean and towels was ready for all of us, But 4 of us can’t continuously using the shower cause the water heater can’t handled. 'This is not your average IKEA-style cottage (nothing wrong with that, but you know what I mean). This is a home-away-from-home with lots of nice features. A waterboiler, a Senseo-machine with some pads ánd a coffee filter. A Weber gas-BBQ on your porch, use of a sauna and hottub if you like ánd morning coat & slippers. Plus: the complimentary warm welcome from the owner herself ;-) Recommended, folks!'

Goed, rustig verblijf
"Verblijf van 1 nacht, heerlijk rustig geslapen, bedden lagen goed (persoonlijk natuurlijk). We waren zo gelukkig om begin september het noorderlicht te zien, wat goed zichtbaar was omdat het hotel niet midden in het stadje ligt (lichtvervuiling). We werden door het personeel naar onze kamer begeleid, iedereen was vriendelijk en benaderbaar. Ontbijt is niet in de prijs inbegrepen en kostte rond de 2000 króna (14 euro) per persoon. Badkamer was oke maar de douchecabine was een beetje krapjes (en wij zijn niet dik) en de vloerverwarming stond in de hele kamer constant aan waardoor wij wel met een raampje open moesten slapen. Fijn verblijf, zou het aanraden!"
