Welcome to the Windermere Chalet, by Mountain Vacation Lodging. This large and luxurious home has 6 bedrooms, 2 living rooms, 2 dining areas, foosball and air hockey tables, and so much more. Not only is this home within the exclusive ski and golf community of Arrowhead Village at Beaver Creek, Windermere Chalet has a preferred location within the community. It is one of the closest homes to the ski lift, the pool and playgrounds, the tennis courts, as well as the golf course clubhouse & restaurant. Please read on for detailed information on this fantastic property.

The Property:
When you enter this home, one of the first things you'll notice is how the dramatic height of the main living and dining area creates a spacious feel. The floor to ceiling stone fireplace and wall to wall windows and glass doors allow natural light into the space, while mature landscaping around the perimeter of the back yard creates a natural privacy screen. The layout of this main living area creates great flow. From the foyer, you can head directly into the kitchen and secondary dining room, or walk into and through the living and dining rooms. The kitchen is fully equipped and then some. Appliances include double ovens, gas range, mini-fridge, french door fridge with filtered water, and a built-in Miele coffee machine for cappuccinos or macchiatos, anytime you like. The main dining table seats up to 10, plus there is a secondary dining table for 4 and bar seating for 3. Off the living and dining room you have a private back yard, which includes a gas fire pit, an outdoor dining table for 6 and a gas grill with a gas line from the home. Also on this main level, you'll find a half bathroom and the first of 6 bedrooms. This main floor bedroom suite is quite large, and feels very spacious, thanks to the high ceilings and wall to wall glass doors and windows. The bathroom suite includes a walk in closet, water closet, large vanity with dual sinks, a long bathtub, and separate shower.

Upstairs from the entry level, you'll find two workstations and bedrooms 2 and 3, which are both suites. We hope you don't need to do any work while you're here, but if you do, the desks here offer a perfect place to set up your laptops. If you want a little more privacy for your work, step inside bedroom 2. It features a king size bed, vaulted ceilings, as well as a desk & workstation. The bathroom within bedroom 2 is large, splitting the large vanity area from the toilet and bathtub/shower space. Bedroom 3 is also very nice, with a king size bed, vaulted ceilings, and a large HDTV on the dresser. The private bathroom within this bedroom also splits the wide vanity area from the shower and toilet space.

Downstairs from the entry level, there is so much space to enjoy. One very nice feature to note, since very few properties in the area have AC, is that this very large basement level of the home stays nice and cool, even on the hottest summer days. The lower living room includes comfy furniture focused around a large HDTV with sound bar. This space doubles as a game room, with an air hockey table, foosball table, and a plethora of board games as well as books and puzzles. There are 3 bedrooms down here. Bedroom 4 is another King bedroom, and like the other King bedrooms, it has its own private bathroom. Bedroom 5 is a bunk room, with a double (full) bed on top and another double bed on the bottom. Bedroom 6 is huge, and includes 2 queen size beds. These are murphy beds, meaning that they are normal queen mattresses on a platform bed frame, but with a bonus - they can be easily folded up out of the way if or when they are not needed for sleeping. This allows this room to transform into a kids playroom, massage room, yoga studio, whatever your pleasure.

Location:
The location of this home is very special. This gated golf and ski resort community is very private, safe, and beautiful. The Arrowhead Village base area offers direct access to the Beaver Creek Ski Resort, as well as a few dining options. This home is very close to the center of the Arrowhead Village. In just a few minutes, you can walk to the heated pool, hot tub, or the Arrow Bahn ski lift. The walk is short, about 300 meters, and virtually flat - no hills to climb or descend. It's easy and safe enough for kids. That said, skiers and snowboarders can also get a free ride on the complimentary shuttle service that is available to whisk you to and from the Arrowhead, Beaver Creek, and Bachelor Gulch base areas. You can use the "Village Connect" smartphone app or just pick up the phone, dial them up, and before you can get all your gear on, they'll be waiting right outside. The development is built in and around the Country Club of the Rockies, a private golf club that offers those staying in the community the opportunity to dine at its Vista restaurant as well as snowshoeing & cross country skiing when conditions permit in the winter season. Also, the numerous shops and dining options in town of Edwards and the Riverwalk at Edwards are just a couple of miles down the road, and Vail is a short drive up the interstate. This location offers you an incredible community with a lot of amenities, right next to the trails, and with easy access to everything else in the area.

Arrival, Accessibility, Layout and Parking:
Once you book, we're here to support you. We will provide you with arrival instructions, local information, and answer any specific questions you might have - before, during, or after your stay. Accessing this property is easy even for those with mobility issues. There is only one small step to enter the front door. The kitchen and mudroom are right off the foyer, so bringing in your luggage or groceries is quite easy. Parking is available for 4 to 6 vehicles, depending upon their size. The 2 car garage works well for two normal sized vehicles, but will not fit two very large SUVs or trucks. Outside, the driveway is wide enough for two vehicles side by side, and may be long enough for 2 vehicles bumper to bumper. If you will have more than 4 vehicles, there is additional parking available in the Arrowhead lot, which is about 100 meters away, basically right across the street, and still within the gated community. Sorry, but street parking and trailers or RVs are not allowed. The roads which lead to and from this property are generally easy to navigate and well maintained. However, please note that your route to the area may include a mountain pass. When traveling during snow and winter weather conditions, 4 Wheel Drive or All Wheel Drive and tires with good tread are recommended.
