'This was my first time staying here and the place is cute and very close to the shops. Upon arrival there was no one available for check in as advertised on the website and the front door. I also called the phone number on the website and the front door has posted to which no one answered. Thank goodness for a housekeeper and groundskeeper that called the owner (Sandra) to ask what is going on since several families were standing outside to check in. After 2 hours they did an over the phone...

'The room was clean and very comfortable. The location is VERY convenient to downtown Half Moon Bay - right in the middle of some stores. Great for walking to restaurants and shopping. It was very quiet while we were there but I don't know about weekend noise. There is no staff on the premises but they did response to our phone calls to resolve a few minor problems. We paid for parking which was nice for coming and going. '

'This was really just a regular hotel room in an old fashioned building. The breakfast was what you would expect in a hotel - nothing special. The carpets are a bit old and had that old hotel smell. The rooms were not very sound proof. It would be fine if your main reason was to be in Half Moon Bay, and you aren’t looking for a particularly special or pampered experience.'

'Beautiful place but checking long line so took long time our room not ready after 16.00 it was ready . Because of a problem we did not had water from 8.00 untill 12.00 in the room the first morning. It was misty outside seems to be common this time of the year we should have checked that ourself. Our neighbor slammed the door so not super lucky with them. '4/5 rating. This place is absolutely amazing! Only points taken away for is parking lot, very tight and small so if there 2 or more cars it’s hard to get out of. And then the only other point taken away is the balcony, although it is gorgeous views and vibes, anybody can just walk up it so just be cautious and lock the sliding door. The lady in the front was amazing and helpful. The room was super clean and better than the pictures!'

'We booked the "Beachy" unit in this home, but were given the smaller "Peaceful" unit on arrival. That left us with a single bed for four people. Two of us had to sleep on the floor (Pacifica was booked up for an archery event). We contacted the host, and they were willing to cancel the second night, but we were left with the full first night for a more expensive unit and a host fee that was higher than the cost of the room.
