Absolutely amazing
Amazing stay, beautiful hotel (incl rooms) with beautiful facilities. What I absolutely loved was that you were allowed to swim in the evening (till 12 at night), which is very uncommon to the region (but an absolute plus when you’re staying in the desert heat). Surroundings were gorgeous. After traveling multiple times each year for 10+ years I finally spotted an oryx, actually multiple, within 15 min of the resort. My day couldn’t get any better! I would recommend to visit with your own vehicle, because it’s far away from everything. If it’s your first time in the desert though, de resort offers enough to entertain you for a few days.

Het verblijven zeker de moeite waard
Mooie locatie, goed sfeer. Fijn als afwisseling in relatie tot de steden abu dhabi/dubai. Sfeervolle kamers. Rit er naartoe met taxi was goed te doen. Vanuit Abu Dhabi ruim een uur, kosten ongeveer aed 275, naar Dubai aed 175. Het bijbehorende restaurant, met show viel wel erg tegen. Erg toeristisch. Rommelige show, eten en drinken (soft drinks en water) AED 415 is aan de te hoge kant. Eten redelijk, buffet blijft een buffet.

Fraai aangelegd resort, mooie zwembaden. Zeer schoon, veel personeel. Maar dat mag ook wel voor die prijs. Het (inbegrepen) ontbijt viel (relatief) tegen. Redelijk uitgebreide keuze, dat wel maar de koffie en thee werden lauw geserveerd. Toen ik om hete thee vroeg was die wederom lauw. De prijzen van de consumpties en de restaurants zijn evenredig met de prijs van de overnachting: hoog dus en de kwaliteit van het eten rechtvaardigt die hoge prijzen niet.

We hebben hier 2 heerlijke dagen gehad op onze huwelijks rondreis door de U.A.E. Een romantisch hotel, zeer vriendelijke bediening, activiteiten genoeg, echter zoek je vertier buiten het resort zal je de auto moeten nemen om naar Dubai te rijden. Voor ons geen probleem want we wilde juist de woestijn zien.

Not even a 4 star experience
I don't understand the raving reviews for this resort. I have been in many hotels with 4 or 5 stars. But this one did not live up to my expectations. The reception is not very knowledgable (Russian girls) and certainly not service minded. They even go in discussion with customers. The restaurants and catering are at best okay. At the rooftop bar they make poor cocktails. And the breakfast was amusing. Coffee took forever. Staff did not clean up tables. No napkin was given. No fresh juices. Some positive points: some staff really try hard, the pool is very nice, so are the rooms and the resort as a whole looks tasteful. Conclusion: the resort is overrated and overpriced. Service is not up to 5 star standard (not even 4). Overall quality at best worth 4 stars.

Luxe in de woestijn
Logeren in Jumeirah Bab al Shams is een heerlijke belevenis. Wij waren er met ons gezin in januari, toen was de temperatuur heerlijk rond de 25 graden. Het resort ligt midden in de woestijn, drie kwartier buiten Dubai. Het is opgetrokken in arabische sfeer, bijzonder smaakvol en met zorg gedaan. De kamers zijn prachtig, comfortabel en sfeervol ingericht. Er zijn verschillende natuurlijke zwembaden, er worden activiteiten voor de kinderen georganiseerd, de spa is goed verzorgd. De service is uitstekend. Ook voor romantici aan te raden.

Great property but bad service. Don't believe the "Garden View" pictures they post. I was given a room with absolutely no view, just a wall, and they said oops sorry we have no other choice today. Promised to update us the next day whether there would be a better room but of course they never called back. During the checkout we raised this issue again and the front desk manager responded "hope we can give you better room next time" which I felt was so fake because what is the chance we would visit this remote dessert resort again after such service?! We forgot 3 sets of swimsuits and only realized this 3 days later on the way to the airport. Why can't they contact us when they found them in the room I can't understand - is that what luxury service supposed to be? I asked if they can send them to our Home country vía post (we will pay of course) - they refused and asked us to arrange the pickup and shipment ourselves. After Jumeira Al Qasr which was so wonderful, this stay at Bab Al Shams was disappointing, not at the resort - ít was beautiful, but at the people here.

המקום יפה אך אינו תמורה לכסף הרב והעלות הגבוהה של לילה שילמנו הרבה כסף עבור לילה אחד אך אין משהו נוסף שקיבלנו יותר מאשר מלון 5 כוכבים רגיל אפילו שעולה 200$ . הבריכות לא מספיק מחוממות בשביל להיכנס , ואין פעילויות מעניינות , ממש מצטערת שבחרתי להשקיע כל כך הרבה כסף במלון הזה . הנכס יפה מזכיר מאוד את מלונות סיני ששם משלמים רבע ממה שילמנו כאן.

A truly outstanding luxury oasis in the desert. From the moment we arrived (and were greeted with delicious dates and coffee) to departure time, the resort’s outstanding staff made sure that our every need was met and beyond. The property is stunning. We travelled with our two young children, who were treated like rock stars by each and every member of the staff. We dined at Ninive and it was amazing, as were the poolside food and bev. The entire family delighted in the camel ride and falcon show and our own regret was not visiting this property sooner. We will be back.
