'It’s a Motel, staff inexperienced and not helpful'

'Very special well maintained hotel with an exceptional view of the lake. A redeveloped house with additional cabins and animals on the property. Gave it a 4 stars instead of 5 because dinner is incredibly expensive and there was no way to walk around the lake and do some exploration'

'Gorgeous hotel and beautiful location!! The staff were extremely helpful and accommodating for my family. Thank you'

'The room was well thought out and worked well for us. The kitchenette was nice, though we didn't cook. The bathroom seemed like it had been updated recently. Our only issue was that it was quite cold in the room and we couldn't make the heat work. There is on-site parking which is always helpful.'

'As a solo female, i felt safe in the histel and area. I went early october so not too many travelers, so quiet.'

Ontbijt is erg duur.'

'Nice place to stay'

'Our room unfortunately was not good. Black on the ceiling in bathroom, no milk in fridge, holes in bedspread, burn mark holes in kitchenette countertop. The worst part was that we discovered there were no towels in our room and the office was closed with no number displayed to call. I'm glad we only stayed one night and if the office were open or a number to call I would have complained at the time and requested a new room.'

'Supef!'

'Shower was overflowing told staff must have clogged pipes was told ok nothing was done told them walking through water didn’t bother them that 20mm of water had been sitting in there whole 2 days on leaving told them water still all around toilet they just said be sorted today told him a bit late I’m leaving also told them no hot water in kitchen sink tried to see if it’s due to gas so turned on off several times and still nothing very frustrating and a waste of my money for two nights'

'Stayed in this place during the Tarawera Ultramarathon weekend. Rooms are spacious, well furnished and clean. Both te city center and attractions like Te Puia are whitin walking distance. During the warmer days in summer ac would be convenient. '
