Positief: Netheid, inchecken, communicatie, locatie en accuraatheid advertentie
First, the positives. The basement apartment was nicely decorated and appointed. The king bed was very comfortable. The owner did reply quickly via the VRBO portal when the WiFi did not work according to the outdated directions posted on the fridge.The negatives far outweighed the positives. The family living upstairs has young children who were very loud and noisy. Children from the neighborhood often visited which added to the noise. They also had a dog, but the children were 10 times noisier than the dog. The door at the top of the stairs must have led to their kitchen and family room, so there was always plenty of activity going on. If you are looking for a quiet rental, this is not it. There was no way of controlling the A/C in the basement and it was very cold. Wish we had packed sweaters and long pants which we didn’t think we would need in August! Last concern, was the owner did not notify us at all about the street in front of the house getting repaved when we were there. We could not park on the street from 6 am-6 pm. There was no other place to park as we were told not to park in the driveway. Fortunately, we got up early, and were able to stay away all day at a family member’s home for 6 days. We have stayed in many VRBO’s and have had great experiences. Unfortunately, this was not one of them.
