Blokhutten in Cross Junction

'I hate giving negative reviews, however.... Upon arrival, access was very easy. The owner/ property manager provided clear and concise information. The property was easy to access, but definitely use a 4 wheel vehicle. However, the online photos of the property are deceptive. The cabin is not as rural as one would think. The building has much more wear than depicted. The deck is high above the ground and the boards are warped with openings. It did not feel safe. The gutters had plants...

'We did not get to stay there. We could not find the property. GPS took us to a private property that was not the right location. The property owner was annoyed and said this had happened before multiple times. The link they gave me initially to download the house manual was to the Blue Maple website, and there was no search function to find the manual. 'The view was beautiful, especially at sunset and birding was quite enjoyable. Unfortunately the property could use some work which made it hard for us to relax. Be prepared for a steep, rough road and driveway, drive a high clearance vehicle. Communication with host was great.'

'No pet, several items needed repair. No extra blankets or quilts. Heat wasn't working. Manager communicated well. Finally moved to different rental.'

We will have our handyman fix it after you leave. Frankly, I wanted it fixed while we were there. They also did not provide the necessary materials for cleaning dishes....

'We had a wonderful stay and we are appreciative of your hospitality. Everything was up to satisfactory. It’s was nice n cozy. And the quiet was so peaceful! We thank you for the use of your cabin and the hot tub, which was sublime. Thanks again.Jonathan & Julie '
