'We were in GR for a wedding, and many of the family and friends were staying in this hotel. The rooms and main areas were clean and well cared for and the staff friendly. The elevator was broken, which was an issue for some elderly guests and those who had to navigate the stairs in long dresses and heels. I'm sure they will get that fixed quickly. 'Overall, we had a good experience at the Hyatt in Portland. The location was excellent, the staff was friendly and helpful, and the hotel had great amenities.
Unfortunately, the condition of the carpet in our room was a major disappointment. We were traveling with our pets, and the carpet appeared to have been heavily soiled by previous animals and had a very strong urine odor. It was unpleasant enough that it significantly impacted our stay.

'It was a nice clean and new facility. We did have issues with their fancy TV. 85 and 87 year-old people do not know how to do some of those things involving black magic. Our big issue was the fact that Expedia never updated our reservation. I originally registered for the wrong date. The hotel could not change it because they said the reservation was made by Expedia. I knew nothing about Expedia. I thought I was dealing with the hotel. I paid the extra $103 to have them change my overnight date...

'Nice hotel for the price. We’ve been staying here every summer for about 16 years now. Rooms are very clean. This year we noticed the tub/showers need to be updated. The tub floor feels like you could fall through it. Not sure if the subflooring is underneath. Also, mold stains around base of tub/shower. Update bathrooms and ALL carpeting throughout hotel and it would be super nice. Staff is fantastic though.'

'We had a family death the day we were supposed to check in and the hotel was not accommodating in anyway on a refund or allowing us to change our reservation date.
