Our house, Casa Cielito, is a recently built modern residence in a quiet neighborhood of Cozumel. It is a two story house with a swimming pool, a beautiful cozy garden with palm trees, an outdoor gas grill and a large roof top terrace to enjoy the sun all day long.
There are three bedrooms, each with its own bathroom, television, king-size bed and private patio. All bedrooms have big walk in closets. The downstairs master bedroom has a great bathroom with a walk-in twin shower and a spacious vanity with double sinks.
The living room has two sitting areas, a modern kitchen with all the necessary appliances and a custom made dining table for six.
In addition to the upstairs master bedroom and 3rd bedroom there is an office area with recently updated internet connectivity, complete with WiFi.
We love what our architect has done, he really paid attention to every detail. We are away from the busy tourist area but it is only a few minute drive to the waterfront, the restaurants and supermarkets. Sam’s Club is in walking distance and the beaches are 15 minutes away, the drive to get to them is beautiful.
Karen, our property manager conveniently lives right across the street. She and her husband Ricardo, a Marine Biologist, also run their own scuba diving business and can take you to the best diving spots on the Cozumel reef system.

The home is beautiful, and well maintained for the most part. There is some challenges with areas that leaked water only during a very big storm – however those are gonna happen in Mexico, so probably important to ensure that the leaking areas have good maintenance and attention.Had an incident where my partner got locked in a bathroom because the door knob was not working properly, so just encouraged the property manager to upgrade those door knobs. If there was a risk it could happen because he said it had happened to a previous guest as well in a different room.The property manager was super responsive, amazingly helpful, added a toaster that we requested and replaced the coffee machine with a better one as we requested within a few hours. Couldn’t have asked for better service.I don’t know that this is the owner or property manager’s fault, but the pool was actually super cold. It’s in kind of a shaded area, and so it was really tough to enjoy actually swimming in it. The areas that along the side that are at a shallow depth, we definitely walked around in and kicked our feet in, and that was great, but swimming in it unless you were super hot and needed relief was not very comfortable. If possible/affordable would be great to maybe add a little heater to it.Overall, I definitely recommend this home. You’ll have a great trip to Mexico. I do think what I paid for it - which included VRBO taxes and fees of a 285 a night is too expensive for Cozumel.

The house was great! We had everything we needed there. We LOVED having the pool all to ourselves! Ricardo was quick to respond with any questions. We rented a car and drove to the beach everyday. The snorkeling was so fun! We will definitely be back!!

Great Home, Great Host

This was our fist stay out of the county outside of a resort and we couldn’t be happier. The property is set up perfect for a group of adults and the location is close enough to all the things without having constant traffic. We would definitely stay here again.

Truly, A Hidden Gem In The Non-Tourist Area

My first time renting and it won't be my last. In no particular order:The area is very safe around the Unit. Excellent Unit security. That said, f we were out past 8 pm, we used taxis. We're risk-averse. It is a 25 minute walk to the waterfront, which we did each morning for exercise. Very clean/well maintained. If anything was a problem, Ricardo, the PM, was A on it. Susanne, the property owner, is responsive and clear in her communications. A solid team. The tiled 'dipping' pool was perfect. It is not heated but once you get past the initial jolt, it's fine. Cleaned 3X per week. Plenty of lounge chairs & shade around the pool area. The rooftop sun sail was being replaced during our visit but that will be another great spot to sun bath. Plenty of space to spread out. Drinking water is supplied to the Unit via water jugs. Plenty of cooking utensils and cooking spices/vinegars in the kitchen. For groceries, a Sam's Club & a Walmart-like business are 5-6 minutes (walk) from the Unit. For our initial big grocery supply run, we taxied to Chedraui for better selections.Several excellent restaurants are about a 10 minute walk from the Unit. Taxi rides were 3-5 US to the downtown restaurants. The WiFi could use a coverage/speed upgrade: several dead spots in the living room. Streaming shows through a Phone or tablet did not work. Beds are very comfortable. Ample hot water for showers. W/D were A equipment. Love the locking safe for peace of mind.

Cozumel Diving Trip.

The house was very nice. It was clean, with a lot of space, and the beds were comfortable. The bathrooms were large and clean as well. My wife enjoyed the pool, and sitting outside in the yard on the covered deck. The air conditioning worked great, for the most part we turned it on in our bedrooms at night, The street was very quite, rarely saw cars or people, but we weren't at the house very much. You will need transportation, if you want to go to the main strip along the ocean front. There is a Sam's Club / Walmart very close, were we bought most of our groceries. There is also a fancier grocery store, on the main strip, more expensive, more for tourists. I would recommend bringing a streaming device like ROKU with you, if you plan on watching any TV. Also it would be nice if the TV in the living room area was larger. But we didn't go to Cozumel to watch TV, so wasn't a big deal for us. If you plan on diving in Cozumel, I would recommend Aldora Divers. We dived with them all week, and thought they were great. My wife who isn't a diver, did a discover scuba class with them, and two boat dives. She really liked them and now wants to come back, to get certified.

Perfect place; Perfect location.

Our extended family of seven stayed at Suzanne’s home. Exceeded all expectations. Beautiful home in a quiet residential area where we felt completely comfortable walking to the numerous local restaurants all times of day and evening. Walk into main square is only an apx 30 min walk. Local bodega grocery store, which we went to several times, was only a five min walk. The way the home is laid out with all bedrooms being somewhat separated with each having their own full bathroom and private patio gave everyone plenty of space to retreat to. The property manager Ricardo promptly answered any questions we had or requests for recommendations. FYI for future guests…hot water for showers takes apx 3-4 min to warm up. Not a negative at all; just a heads up for people so they don’t think there is no hot water. Seriously a gorgeous place to stay…don’t hesitate booking. You won’t be disappointed. A perfect home and host

We had a WONDERFUL stay here in Cozumel. Karen and Ricardo were unbelievably welcoming and helpful as hosts, and even helped us solve an issue we had with our rental car. The home was absolutely beautiful and well maintained, and they offered to have cleaners come part way through our stay as well. We'd gladly stay here or in another one of their properties anytime.

Girls trip 2024

Myself, my sister and our cousin just returned from a 14 night stay on Cozumel. We enjoyed this house and would have left all 5 stars except for 2 things. The washing machine was not working and is being replaced. We would have packed a little different had we known in advance that the PM would be taking our laundry to be done off site. The second thing and the thing we found the most weird……while there are king size beds in all bedrooms, the bedding was for double size beds with the exception of bottom sheet and there were no top sheets for any of the beds. The only bedding provided was comforters and duvet covers. If there were 2 people in any of the beds, you would be using 2 separate comforters for each person with no top sheet. Traveling this time of year, a comforter was way too warm and a sheet would have been greatly appreciated……instead we had to turn the air conditioning and the ceiling fan up higher to stay comfortable at night. We would definitely stay in this house again if the bedding issue was addressed.

Very nice comfy house

My son and his family with their 14 yr old daughter loved having the private pool. They found the house very comfy and well equipped for their needs. Being close to our house was a bonus as they could have their own space at times. They did not know that the washer was not working until Ricardo mentioned it on day 5.. as a past VRBO owner I would suggest having a house info book for recycling, garbage dates and general end of day requirement's so that the guests could do some pre prep for the cleaning crew before leaving. They did leave the cleaning crew a nice tip and some groceries. Would certainly refer this house again to family & friends.

A beautiful, well maintained property. Well equipped kitchen and comfortable furnishings. Loved the pool after a long day in town. About a 30 minute walk to downtown but very easy to get a taxi if you dont have a car. The grocery store was very close as well. Ricardo the propery manager was very helpful and available. Overall a lovely home in a quiet, safe neighborhood.

This home is very well maintained and furnished. Even the knives were sharp. It is minutes from town by scooter or taxi. The taxis are everywhere and are very inexpensive. Shout out to Ricardo, the property manager who lives right across the street. He responded immediately to all texts and gave great advice.

We loved this property. It is beautiful, spacious and well outfitted. Enjoyed the patios off of each bedroom and star watching on the rooftop deck. It is near a grocery store and easy to connect with main thoroughfares. We did have persistent issues with hot water in the showers and toilets not returning to pressure over the four days of our stay which is the reason for the 4 rather than 5 stars.

Beautiful House with Pool in Heart of San Miguel

Our stay was amazing and the house was as well equipped and as beautiful as the pictures demonstrate. Our only concern was that the blender needed to be replaced as it didn’t work well and leaked. I’m laughing as I write this as you can now tell our highest priority was making excellent frozen margaritas. We rented a scooter for the week and were able to go to every beach and check out multiple taquerias and shop for fresh produce during our stay. We would rent this space again and recommend it for families as there is ample room.

A marvelous house in a quiet neighborhood

My wife and I spent 16 nights at Casa Cielito this past January and had a wonderful, amazing time. The location is convenient, the house is spectacular and super private. Spend the day at the beach or out on a dive, come back, clean up and relax in your own quiet oasis close to everything on the south end of San Miguel. We did a lot of meals in and found the kitchen well-appointed (even the spices) and easy to use. As noted by other guests, the pool isn't heated but we found if it had been we wouldn't have enjoyed it nearly so much. As it is, having the cool water was a great break after sitting in the sun up on the expansive upper deck or wandering all over town exploring the neighborhoods. Special thanks to the property manager Ricardo (he is super responsive and close-by if anything needs attention) and to Belem and Cindy the house cleaners who came in a couple of times during our stay. They were both very nice and as a bonus, helped improve my Spanish. Stay at Casa Cielito. You'll love it!

Fabulous!

Beautiful property! Plenty of outdoor spaces to enjoy the sun or rain. Sunsets from the rooftop, easy to use kitchen, extra towels and bedding. We will be coming back again.

Incredible stay!

The photos of this house don’t do it justice. From the well thought out design to the architectural details, we enjoyed this property so much! We felt incredibly safe, and walked to breakfast at the Maple Bakehouse daily. Our extensive communication with the owner and property manager was flawless from beginning to end. Their recommendations were spot on- especially dinner at MrTaco and a snorkeling trip with Mystic. We hope to return sooner than later!
