'We haven’t been in an HI hostel in a long time (in our 70s) but were very happy with our overnight stay in HI Aveiro. Staff were lovely, the room and en-suite were very clean and comfortable and the continental breakfast was excellent. We walked to it from the bus station via the beautiful park. Not many eateries in the immediate neighbourhood (apart from a McDonalds almost opposite) but only 15 minutes on foot to the many restaurants/cafes in the town centre. '

'I had the whole property to myself as I stayed on a weekday night! It was kinda scary as I was the only guest and it’s a big room and property. It’s very clean and comfortable. However, the lights went off shortly after I went into the shower room. As I’m not tall, the sensor can’t detect my moving arms so I ended up showering in the dark. I would recommend staying here when it’s slightly busy. '

'Stayed for a couple of days with family. The hostel staff are friendly and helpful and it’s just a 10/15 walk down to the beach. It’s a bit steep walking back up '
