Luxury Loft in Downtown Columbia with Rooftop Terrace

On Valentine’s Day 1945, a south Georgia born boy and a young Sicillian woman from Wisconsin, met across a hotel lobby in Milwaukee. He, a classically trained violinist and she, an elevator operator with poems in her heart and stars in her eyes. It was love-at-first sight and they wed that night. To get by in between gigs, young and starving newlyweds wrote songs that they sent off to everyone in Billboard magazine. Their first hit, Country Boy was being performed by Little Jimmy Dickens at the Grand Ole Opry as they pulled their dilapidated trailer and two baby boys into Nashville’s Rainbow Trailer Court. Boudleaux and Felice Bryant went on to get 800 songs cut, including hits such as Bye Bye Love, Wake Up Little Susie, Rocky Top, and All I Have to Do is Dream. As Nashville’s very first professional songwriters, they have been inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame, the Songwriters Hall of Fame, the Nashville Hall of Fame, and the Georgia Music Hall of Fame and have garnered dozens of awards.

Felice and Boudleaux are no longer with us but their legacy, love story, and music lives on.

When their son Del and daughter-in-law Carolyn decided to open a unique loft vacation rental, their first priority was making it luxurious, homey, and dreamy - a home away from home. Their delightfully charming and dreamy second story loft is located inside a two story building dating back to 1850 on the square in Downtown Columbia. Featuring a rooftop terrace with courthouse views and luxury accommodations for up to three guests, this is one property you definitely want to experience!

Beautiful loft apartment. Perfect location, especially for the 1st Friday festivities. It was a little chilly, but loved the views and the comfy furniture of the rooftop deck! The fireplace was a welcome addition and made my stay even more cozy! Thanks for a wonderful place to stay in Columbia!

Amazing Space in the perfect location
This space was clean, modern and very well decorated — I would absolutely stay here again. My only recommendation to the owner is adding a few basics to the kitchen such as a potato peeler and wooden spoons for cooking. (I had to peel potatoes with your very nice wusthoff bread knife!) The smeg counter top appliances and fridge were of the best quality.

Cozy & Upscale Downtown Columbia Loft is a DREAM
This downtown Columbia loft is incredible! Creating the right balance of cozy living with modern updates, while maintaining a nod towards historic value is difficult to achieve. The owners of Dream have accomplished this. Small, yet thriving downtown business & residential locations often reflect the feel of its surrounding community. The Dream loft encompassed what Columbia has to offer visitors. This property was perfect for my family of three humans & small 22 lb rescue dog, as we waited out the first major snowfall of the area for 2022, and while we were in town for work. The layout includes a large living room with a small pullout sofa bed for our young son, an upgraded gorgeous kitchen, quaint dining area (even for work from home responsibilities, a dreamy bathroom, and a relaxing, comfortable bedroom. Initially what attracted me to the property (besides all the photos) was its ideal location to downtown shopping and restaurants. Easy, open communication with the owners, who graciously extended our initial stay request, and having all that room for us to spread out made DREAM the perfect rental for us. I would happily book this property for future Columbia, Tennessee stays! (and maybe have an opportunity to use the amazing 3rd story deck!)

An Amazing Little Town and Loft
Just let me say, this was one of my favorite stays of all time! The property was amazing. The loft sits in the town square with shops, restaurants, coffee shops and friendly people. We did not make it to Franklin or Nashville because there was so much to do locally. Check out the arts district a mile away as well as The Factory at Columbia, which had the biggest antique shop I have ever seen. Spend a day (4 hours to be exact) doing an off road ATV adventure at Fisher's Offroad (25 minutes away). Make sure to get tickets for a concert at the Mulehouse, which was a great night out (3 blocks away). Take time to go to the 1819 manor and coffee house in Thompson's Station (20 minutes away) for sitting outside and drinking some coffee. Also, Amber Falls Winery (45 minutes away). If you can't make it there, try some blackberry wine at Puckett's restaurant. This little town has everything, or at least, everything close. Nashville Zoo was a great morning as well. First Friday's (first Friday of the month) in Columbia the shops stay open until 8:00 and there is live music in the square, food trucks and great shopping. A very friendly and safe little town.
