We had an amazing weekend here! We went in early October so the lake was extremely quiet and peaceful. A lot of times pictures on listings look better than the real thing, in this case I think it's the other way around! It's hard to capture in pictures the nearly 270 degree view from the living and dining room, it's beautiful. Clear Lake can also get really hot but even in the middle of a heat wave we were quite comfortable between the house being well shaded, and the AC in the rooms.
The kitchen is very well stocked with dishes and spices, and even some complimentary snacks, which is extra helpful since town and the nearest restaurants are a good 15-20 min away. For those like me who always want to know the coffee setup, there is a Keurig (they supply coffee and tea pods!) and a French press.
Wifi is quite spotty, but cell service is good, so we were fine just don't plan to rely on internet.
The kayak launch is a bit hidden, down a narrow path past the dock around a large rock, but we were able to take our inflatable SUP down (brought our own, not provided) and had a great time on the lake. The path is fairly narrow and steep so if we had anything larger or heavier, it might have been tricky, but it was great to have access. The dock is also perfect for fishing, or in our case sitting over the lake :)
The host was also very responsive before and during our stay! We would absolutely stay here again and recommend to others.
