Nestled in a breathtakingly secluded setting and enveloped by nature, this beautiful cottage offers the perfect sanctuary for an idyllic escape. Boasting an outdoor heated pool (available from May to September), a tennis court, a ping pong table, and even a thrilling zip wire, this retreat is designed for unforgettable relaxation and enjoyment. With a capacity to accommodate up to 7 guests, it's an ideal destination for creating cherished memories with friends or family. While guests have exclusive access to the entire property, it's worth noting that the adjacent property is also rented, resulting in shared parking, garden, pool, and tennis court. We extend a warm welcome to dogs and are delighted to accommodate extended stays.

The cottage has been designed with guests in mind and is very well-planned. The bedrooms can be arranged as twin beds or king size, depending on your group's requirements.

Upon entering, you will find a washing machine, tumble dryer, and a fridge/freezer. This leads to a spacious open plan kitchen and dining area, complete with a fully equipped modern kitchen and dining area with a table and chairs, perfect for hosting delicious family meals or enjoying takeout. The large double doors from the dining area open out to an inviting outdoor seating area overlooking the swimming pool and gardens. Additionally, there is a breakfast bar with a couple of stools, along with a cosy sofa and coffee table, creating a truly sociable space.

As you move through the kitchen/dining area you will enter the spacious lounge with high ceilings, exposed beams and abundant seating. The room features a log burner with a fireguard for safety, perfect for cosy autumn and winter days, as well as underfloor heating. A desk in one corner provides a designated space for any necessary work. The room is bathed in natural light from the large windows and double doors leading to the pool, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. Additionally, there is a convenient downstairs family shower and toilet situated between the lounge and kitchen, and a double sofa bed in the lounge area for guests.

The spacious bedroom downstairs offers plenty of storage and hanging space, all with a stunning view overlooking the pool and garden. With its own en-suite shower and toilet, this bedroom offers convenience and privacy. What's more, the bathroom can be accessed from the swimming pool and outside area if needed. This bedroom can be easily configured with either twin beds or a king-size bed to suit your preferences.

The second bedroom, located up a small flight of stairs from the lounge, contains two single beds that can be converted into a king-size bed. Additionally, the room includes a day bed and an extra mattress that can be set up if needed.

The gardens are lovely for relaxation and enjoyment, with the use of garden furniture and a BBQ. Additionally, guests can use the table tennis table. This unique cottage is situated in a tranquil setting, surrounded by large trees, birds, squirrels, and nature.

The property features a spacious heated swimming pool, which is shared and available for use from May to September. Additionally, guests have access to a shared tennis court and are provided with rackets and balls. For the younger guests (and the young at heart), there is an exciting zip wire located beyond the tennis court. This zip wire is elevated in the trees and offers great entertainment for all!

This charming cottage is perfect for families with young or teenage children, offering plenty of activities to keep them entertained. It's also an excellent choice for groups of friends looking to enjoy a relaxing getaway together.

We absolutely love dogs and they are more than welcome to stay with us for free! We kindly ask that they refrain from getting on the furniture. To make their stay even more enjoyable, we provide complimentary dog treats, a water and food bowl, and fluffy towels to dry them off after a fun walk!

Upon arrival, we provide a welcome hamper for our guests. The hamper includes milk, tea, coffee, sugar, cloths, hand wash, cooking spray, dishwasher tablets, rinse aid, washing up liquid, matches, kitchen roll, tissues, bin bags, pen, salt, pepper, fire lighters, and tinfoil. Additionally, the hamper contains some goodies such as wine, cookies, chocolates, and sweets. In the bathrooms, we provide shampoo and conditioner, and hand wash is available at each sink.

Experience ultimate convenience during your stay with our range of amenities for families. We offer a travel cot (please bring your own bedding) and a high chair, along with specially curated baby packs for 0-2 year olds and toddler packs for 2-4 year olds. To ensure availability, please request these items in advance for short stays. Rest assured that all items will be thoroughly cleaned and sterilised between each use, providing a safe and comfortable experience for you and your little ones. All items are to be left in the property at the end of your stay.

A refundable damage deposit is required in advance of your stay of £300, in accordance with our terms and conditions. This deposit helps ensure that our properties are maintained to the highest standard for all guests. Please note that bookings made through Airbnb are covered by Airbnb’s AirCover program and are therefore exempt from this requirement. The damage deposit will be refunded promptly after departure, subject to a satisfactory property inspection.

Exterior

The gardens are lovely to relax and enjoy with the use of garden furniture and a BBQ. There is also a table tennis table for guests to use. This is a unique cottage, in a tranquil setting - surrounded by large trees, birds, squirrels and nature.

There is a nice size heated swimming pool (shared use May-Sep) and access to a shared tennis court. Rackets and balls are supplied. For children (and big children) there is a brilliant zip wire beyond the tennis court which is high in the trees and great fun!

Guests have access to the whole property. Please note the property next door is also rented and the owners house is onsite which means the free parking in the driveway and also the garden area is shared, as is the heated swimming pool (for the summer months 11th April-Sep 2023) and tennis court (year round use.) We ask guests to be considerate when using the outside space and parking. There is plenty of space for everyone to enjoy! If you are a large group then renting all areas gives you access for your whole group! The owner is available and lives onsite in case of any problems.


Local Area

Discover the convenience of North Mundham Cottage, with its easy access to the picturesque South Downs countryside, exciting events at Goodwood, and the stunning South Coast. Imagine being just a short drive away from the beautiful Pagham and Selsey Beaches, and a mere 20-minute drive from the renowned sand dunes of West Wittering. 

It also provides convenient access to a myriad of shops, bars, restaurants, and cafes right in the heart of Chichester City Centre. Immerse yourself in the renowned Chichester Festival Theatre, contemporary art, and rich historical sites, all at your fingertips.

North Mundham is the nearest village, located just 3 miles South of Chichester. Runcton is a neighbouring village which boasts a lovely country pub - The Walnut Tree with large gardens and dog friendly. This is a 20 min walk away.

The nearby village on Hunston has a village store and post office as well as an excellent play park and large playing field if you have children with you. The Spotted Cow is located in Hunston which offers lovely food.

There is a bus stop only 5 mins walk from the house which is the 600 bus taking you either in the direction of Bognor Regis or Chichester. Both have train and bus links to take you further afield.

 If you enjoy walking, hiking and cycling you'll love the picturesque coastal routes that offer breathtaking views of Chichester Harbour. Additionally, there are numerous country routes nearby that provide an opportunity to explore the stunning South Downs National Park.

For any keen cyclists or walkers, the cottage is nearby Route 88 which is a cycle route taking you either North in the direction of Chichester or South towards Sidlesham and Pagham Nature Reserve. The Crab & Lobster is a lovely pub on the harbour front in Pagham Harbour and Nature Reserve.

The Goodwood Estate is just a 15 minutes drive, which offers a myriad of events throughout the season including motor-racing (Goodwood Festival of Speed, Goodwood Revival & Members Meetings) and horse-racing. There are buses and many taxi companies operating in the area, please do not hesitate to contact us if you need any help in organising this.

If you fancy a round of golf the Chichester Golf Club is a 8 minute drive away and offers indoor and outdoor adventure golf as well as their tower and cathedral courses for the keen golfer!

Chichester is located a 10 minute drive away and boasts many beautiful parks, some of which with play equipment for children. Oaklands Park, Priory Park and Bishops Palace Gardens offer stunning views of this historic city.

The city walls walk which encircle the Chichester and the cathedral are great if you like to soak up the history of the city.

Chichester's City Gate is an area near the train station which has restaurants, cinema, bowling, arcade games and laser quest.

By Car:
There is plenty of free parking in the driveway at the cottage.

By Train:
The nearest station is Chichester, around 2.5 miles away. From the station:
- A bus station is located opposite, where you can take the 600 bus and walk from the nearest stop.
- Taxis are available directly outside the station. Alternatively, you can pre-book with local firms such as Starline Taxis (01243 531666).

By Plane:
The nearest airports are Gatwick and Southampton. From either airport, you can:

- Hire a car and drive directly.
- Take a train or bus to Chichester, then continue by bus or taxi to the property.

Beautiful stay

We had a wonderful time here, made perfect by the lovely weather. Kids loved the pool, tennis and zip wire. Lots of space and super well equipped with everything you would need. Owners were lovely and helpful would definitely recommend and hope to come back soon!
