The location was perfect and we were able to get parking (one of the main reasons for booking). The only real complaint was the lack of notice on the weekly fire alarm but also having itchy sheets.

We had a brilliant 2 night stay with our 18 month old. The facilities were excellent, especially the clean swimming pool and changing rooms. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the location of the hotel was very convenient for transport, shops and dining. We would definitely stay here again and would recommend.

Could do with a refurb
Not bad but the hotel could do with a refurb, especially the bedroom floors. Nothing terrible, just the sense that it is too long since it was upgraded. Staff were lovely though, the breakfast excellent and the parking good.

Very well located
Positives: Very well located for centre of city. Large tidy rooms Clean fresh looking hotel Polite staff Negatives Except for in the room, the rest of the Hotel was cold with the air conditioning on. Nearly everyone had their coats on! The car park is a little small, I needed to wait until someone left so I could get a space. Long wait at the bar (understaffed)

Awful experience at crowne plaza, walls are paper thin and do not stop any noise coming from rooms either side. This topped off with a 3am false fire alarm call and an hour outside with 0 feedback from staff what was going on made for a horrible stay. For the money, experience was awful. Facilities are lovely and location is perfect but would never visit again after a bad stay.

Poor room standards
This could be a much nicer hoter. Centrally located to town with a nice bar and restaurant. Let down by very dated and worn rooms. Check in was delayed due to cleaning not completed. When we got to the room it was dull with old painted over wallpaper which was marked and peeling. The bathroom grouting was also worn and disoloured giving a not so clean feel Window was drafty infact I thought it was open at first. A shame could of been a much better hotel but not up to standards of some much cheaper options Lack of sockets near bed and no phone chargers.

Good location but comfort & food lacking
Hotel in a great location for Chester city centre, but lacking in several areas. The room had a King Size bed which was good but the under covers were to small and did not fit so made bed uncomfortable (see picture). We had made reservation at hotel to eat on both nights of our stay and menu had a good choice, we both ordered steaks and when they arrived were of a small size and clearly been cooked in the microwave which you can tell by the colour, were over cooked and had 'sears' lines' clearly added by touching a hot grill pan or similar. we mentioned this to the waiter who told us that they were using a lot more frozen food as it was cheaper and reducing the use of fresh ingredients to maintain profit margins and speed up cooking times etc. - not a good move. We cancelled the restaurant for the following night and ate in Chester centre, 5 mins walk. On checking out we the guy on reception asked if we had enjoyed our stay but did not listen to our reply as clearly he just expected us to say 'yes it was great' but he did hear us say 'your not listening' to which he replied I have an ear infection and can't hear! Why would you put an employee on reception that is a prime interface with your customers to check in/out if they can't hear properly? Overall a disappointing performance by Crowne Plaza Hotels on this occasion. On a good note the team in the Spa were excellent.

Well appointed centrally located hotel. Great bar and reception staff, rooms are spacious and have all youll need. Pricing a little higher than expected. Parking, although easy is an additional cost. All note worthy as a business traveller

Lovely pool and service.
Really great location and excellent service. The lobby area looks great. The rooms are a bit dated, probably need a good dusting as I saw dust on the electrics next to bedside table. My 5 year old who is quite tall for her age struggled to reach over the sink to brush her teeth, so its just little things in regards to accesibility to be mindful of when travelling with a young family. Breakfast is great. Nice selection and options available on request too. Pool is nice, clean and warm. we could have spent hours more in the pool.

The hotel is very stylish and comfortable. Our room was spacious and the bed enormous. The staff were superb unfailingly helpful and professional. Only drawback is the limited parking space directly owned by the hotel. However the Council-owned car park is immediately below the hotel and easily accessible.
