This property is extremely comfortable for a large group. The ocean views are spectacular and there are marsh/river views from some rooms. There are two dishwashers and a wine fridge plus 2 two-bin trash cabinets making storage and cleanup much easier for a large group. The interior furnishings are comfortable; the!open floor plan makes it easy for large groups to congregate and participate. There is ample high-end outdoor furniture. Great property for big group of family & friends.

Holiday Heaven

We just got back from spending our holiday at Wakita Wave and thoroughly enjoyed this lovely home! The house is just as described in the listing - many bedrooms, many bathrooms, HUGE kitchen (which was great for our family full of cooks), great location, and wonderful views. The weather wasn't great for our stay, but we all enjoyed our stay in Folly Beach. We'll be back in the future for sure!

Beautiful views

The house has a lovely location right on the beach with easy access and gorgeous views. The outdoor space is great and provides lots of seating to take in the views. At first glance the home is beautiful, but on closer inspection there are several items in need of attention - mold on doors and showers, dirty chair in the living room, evidence of a previous leak on the ceiling in the living room, etc. We were most disappointed that the a/c on the main floor was not working during the entirety of our stay in temps of 87 degrees. A tech arrived to fix it on our check out date, The size and.location of the house worked out well for our group, although there was some confusion as one of the beds is reported as a queen in the listing but appears to be a full.

We loved Wakita Wave!

You cannot go wrong with this house. There was enough room for the 10 guests we had, along with giving everyone their space. The views were incredible and the beach was very private (considering it was the 4th of July). We cannot wait to return next summer and have the best memories for a lifetime!

Needs some deep cleaning, cockroach type insects inside, ceiling paint bubbling, mold on air vents, mold in a bathroom, kitchen floor trim / cabinets damaged, porch light fell from ceiling, sliding glass door from bedroom to pool very hard to open/close, beach chairs need to be replaced, wet bar tiles coming off wall in living room. Great location, nice neighborhood, great beach access. Was expecting a cleaner and better kept home for the amount we were charged for the week.

Family Fun on Folly Beach

We had a delightful week with our extended family staying at Wakita Wave. The home was exactly as pictured. It was clean and spacious, and the ocean views were incredible. The kitchen, dining room, and living room were perfect for gathering, and the decks were well-appointed with furniture for sitting and enjoying the beautiful view. The beachfront was very quiet, and it was an easy drive to shops and restaurants on Folly Beach.

Comfortable and enjoyable stay with my large group. The island is lovely. Everything was as expected and the kitchen was pretty well appointed. We appreciated the provided pool/beach towels. It would be nice if there was a collection of loose blankets for the couches etc.

Great house and location! Just as pictured, very clean, comfortable, and kitchen well stocked. Pleasantly surprised how comfortable the beds were as most rentals tend to have very uncomfortable beds. Quiet location and close to town and only 20 minutes to Charleston, I would definitely be renting this house again.

Birthday weekend

This place is amazing! It was clean, well stocked, beds are comfortable, and the views are wonderful! Its far enough from town so you have the quiet but close enough that you can go and enjoy the bars and shops. And Charleston is only about 30 minutes away if you are interested in sightseeing. The Property manager responded quickly with any questions and check-in was easy! We went for my birthday and there were 9 of us. My family and I would all love to stay here again!

Wonderful family vacation for Christmas

We had a spectacular time. There was a total of 11 family members and everyone had plenty of room. The house was located right on the beach and was spacious and very comfortable. We loved the open space on the main floor that had the large kitchen, dining area and family room with large TV. 3 levels of decks offered great views of the beach and marsh. The kids enjoyed the game room and the adults appreciated the large comfortable beds and large bathrooms. Property management was very helpful and responsive. We would absolutely stay here again.

Attention to detail….

The good? Amazing ocean views from all floors of the house! Breathtaking. Plenty of room to spread out and relax, with the kitchen/living room serving as a central gathering hub. While too cold to swim, the petite pool looks inviting. Beautiful wood floors. Heating and cooling was solid. The “needing attention”? Interior walls have flat (versus satin) paint and show every scuff/stain/handprint/etc. Pantry door needs replaced. Several toilets require either holding the handle and/or repeated attempts to get a full flush. Address on the unit is not visible after dark, creating a bit of stress at arrival. Parking under the unit is easy, but there needs to be a motion light or nightlight to assist in finding the entry stairs after dark. While there is a light switch 6-foot up on a pole, good luck finding it in the dark. I understand ocean water is hard on a house, but the number of rusted air vents and can lights was surprising. The upstairs game room was a bust with only 2 dart’s having tips and the pool cues being junk. Spare pillows in closet are stained and need tossed. Air filters coated in dirt. Tape/string attached to island lights from a previous guest. While many of these concerns taken alone seem minor, the totality reduces a potentially amazing experience into just a good experience. It’s all in the details.

Thanksgiving with the family

Maryland and Florida convened on Folly Beach for the Thanksgiving Holiday. Great location, great view and I would definitely stay here again. Would have preferred warmer weather but I still managed a round of golf. House has a great layout and slept 12 of us comfortably. There are a few minor repairs that should be addressed (most notably the wobbly hand rails) but nothing interfered with our stay. All of the needed information was provided before and during the stay to remove any guess-work. And, even though we brought some of our own cooking supplies for Thanksgiving dinner, we would have been fine without them. Thank you for a memorable time! Z Family
