We plan on making this an annual tradition!

We had such an amazing time even with it being the off-season and winter. Our children really enjoyed all of the amenities. The view of the lake is extraordinary. The home was clean and extremely easy to check into. We were greeted with a text message well before arrival and checked on throughout our stay. The hosts were very communicative and quick to respond. The home we stayed in was the Rose Cottage and we highly recommend it for families with little ones because there are tons of beds. We can’t wait to book again and come when it is warm outside. The inground trampoline was a huge hit with the children as well. Kayaks and fishing were easily accessible, and our boys took full advantage.

Amazing Vacation Destination

We had the best time staying at the Rose Cottage. It could not have been better stocked; we truly needed to bring nothing but ourselves. Communication was great, before and during our visit. The kids enjoyed Lake Weiss as well as the pool and trampoline. We'll definitely visit again!

A great family vacation

The Rose Cottage and surrounding property was the perfect meeting place for us and our friends to gather. The Rose Cottage was very clean and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. There were 9 of us total (4 adults and 5 kids) and there were plenty comfortable beds for all of us. The property had so many amenities we didn’t even get to use it to its fullest. It allowed us to enjoy the time together without having to pack everyone up and go elsewhere for entertainment. The hosts were very responsive to all our questions and needs. We loved staying there and it is on our list to return again.

Lifetime Memories

I booked this cottage at the recommendation of the owners. We were initially going to only book the Magnolia and I am very grateful that we had this extra space. In fact, everyone commented on how happy they were with their sleeping arrangements. Rose Cottage is lovely. Beautifully decorated and comfortable. We intend to book this house for smaller groups of us to stay in the future. It is deceivingly spacious inside! We had everything we could possibly need (outside of food) available to us. I cannot stop gushing about Rose Cottage and the Magnolia house to friends and family. And I recommend this location to anyone.

Wedding weekend

We rented the Rose Cottage as well as The Magnolia House for my wedding weekend. My parents, my husbands parents, my brother, and our two photographers stayed in this house. It had everything they needed and more. It was beautiful and comfortable. Perfect location next to the house.

Campbell-Barron wedding

It was amazing, the venue was all we wanted! My daughter said she felt like a princess and was able to share a great weekend with the wedding party. All of whom were close friends and relatives. The Rose cottage along with the Magnolia House allowed us to provide all the wedding party a place to stay, so we could celebrate and not worry about ppl driving home. For us safety/being responsible host to the wedding party was 1st on our minds. The guys brought their boats up and fished the morning of the wedding. The girls got ready together in the bridal Suite of the Magnolia House! We the parents used the Rose Cottage, we brought our big grill and my husband friends prepared the meat for the reception. So many possibilities with this house along with the Magnolia House. The Rose Cottage was well decorated and very clean. Like we were the first to ever stay there. I could go on and on, but to sum it up. Simply Amazing!

February Fishing Trip

The property was perfect for our needs. The inside was extremely nice and appeared to be recently renovated. Great wifi and phone coverage. Well stocked with cooking and cleaning supplies. Towels were well stocked. Property was beautiful with several different outside gathering areas and fire pits. The boat dock was unaccessible for launching our boats due to the low water level of the lake so we had to launch several miles away and then boat back to the property. We used the existing boat docks fine with ladders down to our boats. Highly recommend this property and will try to use again in the near future.

Perfect Family Getaway

House was a perfect family getaway for our family of five. It was clean, organized, and beautifully decorated. We enjoyed the outdoor seating areas in the evenings. The owners have thought of everything from the throw blankets that helped make us feel cozy, to the stocked kitchen where we could cook our own meals. They even provided the sticks for roasting marshmallows. Our only complaint; construction noice started at 8am every morning and for this late to bed late to rise family that was a little irritating. We would definitely come back to this little perfect cottage. Also, curious to see what they are building. Thanks for the fun memories!

Great Venue for my daughters fall wedding

The location is beautiful. Just off the lake with an amazing view. Plenty of room on property for both parties to stay. Local vendors had some amazing people. The staff was great all thought the stay.

The perfect venue, highly recommend

We used this property for our wedding and turned it into a weekend long event. This place could not have been more perfect for a fall wedding. The views were incredible, the temperature was just right, the magnolias gave us amazing lighting for photos and between the two properties on the lot, there was plenty of space for all of our guests to feel comfortable and enjoy their stay. Any of our needs for the actual wedding itself were responded to quickly and handled right away. I have no complaints of any kind and anyone lucky enough to book this place for their wedding is getting a dream venue for a steal. Will absolutely be coming back.

Wonderful!

Our family thoroughly enjoyed our weekend at Rose Cottage! Property was beautiful, clean and stocked better than any place I think I have ever stayed- they have thought of everything! We especially enjoyed nights around the firepit, catching the sunset from the dock & the seeing sunrise on the lake in the provided kayaks! Communication with the owners was fabulous, entire process was seamless!

Best wedding location ever.

We got married with 30 of our family at the Magnolia House and it was the best week of our lives. The house was AMAZING and PERFECT and BEAUTIFUL in every way. I don't even know where to begin. There were 32 of us, yet there were so many beds, everyone got a comfy place to sleep. The outside area with the covered pergola allowed us to hang out in the fresh air even during rain and we were dry and comfy. And the kitchen... we only catered two nights, so we had to feed all 32 of us for the full week, and the kitchen was large and well equipped. There was an extra fridge and freezer in the garage just a few steps away. We also had access to extra furniture, including white table linens, chairs, tables, and all sorts of decor (little lanterns, too!) that made the wedding so special. There is now a hot tub, which the kids loved. Also, the sand volleyball court. And the dock on the lake and the boat! The place comes with a boat (extra charge, but the boat is RIGHT THERE for you at your own dock). The boat was really the main hit, and we took it out every single day. Finally, Dave and Ann responded to every text and also made sure an additional person was on standby in case we needed anything; so, we had at least two contacts. On day one, we realized we forgot coffee and they brought us some within minutes. Perfection! We booked the adjacent Rose Cottage as well for four extra bedrooms, three baths, and another full kitchen. We celebrated two birthdays there towards the end of our trip and all 32 of us fit just fine in the living room/kitchen area for the party. It's just a few steps from the main house! We cannot say enough about how wonderful Magnolia House and the Rose Cottage were. If you are considering a gathering of family and/or friends for a celebration or just a big vacation, go to this place. You will never forget it!

Wonderful property!

We rented this home along with the Magnolia House for a family reunion. One of the best rental experiences with both the properties and with the owners! Super clean, fully stocked with everything you could possibly need, and excellent communication with the owners! Couldn’t have been more pleased with this rental and would highly recommend to anyone!

Wedding Weekend - Spectacular 5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Our family, friends and wedding party stayed at Rose Cottage for the wedding weekend we hosted at The Magnolia House. That property is not included in this review and is equally as gorgeous as this one! Dave & crew did an awesome job. The cottage was recently renovated with top-notch furnishings. Nothing was overlooked and the house was immaculate.. Everything we could have possibly needed was provided. From the moment we made the reservation to the minute we checked out, Destinie was on hand & available to answer every question. She was amazing. You will not find a better home to rent for your family if you want to be on the lake than this one. Thank you for your help Destinie Thank you Dave & Ann for an amazing experience
