I enjoyed sitting the garden when I arrived for a glass of wine and snack. It's about a five minute walk to Santa Maria gate to Centro. 'We had a fabulous stay. Rebecka was a great host and helpful before and during our stay. The location of this property is a perfect base for exploring the city. It is beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean and bright and airy even though it is such an old building. The bed was comfy, the shower was great and the toiletries smelled amazing. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again when we return to Lucca. Everything was perfect '

'This hotel is actually not a hotel but a few rooms attached to the villa volpi hotel, a 10 minute steep walk up the hill. All meals and staff are found at villa volpi, there are no real facilities to speak of at suite accommodation. It's not as discribed in the information at all. In fact, we chose to upgrade for €70/night to stay at villa volpi. I would recommend villa volpi but not suite accommodation '

'Leggendo le recensioni pensavo ad un posto bellissimo con pulizia impeccabile ma purtroppo mi sono dovuta ricredere. La casa è davvero caruccia ma peccato che il cortile è abbandonato a se stesso come anche il giardinetto. La pulizia della stanza e del bagno non sono affatto impeccabili...tanta polvere in stanza, vetri sporchi, bagno con mattonelle sporche e purtroppo anche gli igienici non proprio puliti. Struttura bella ma bisogna dare molta più attenzione alla pulizia e a tanti altri...

'We are a group of 12 retired friends traveling first time in Tuscany. Villa Buonamici was the perfect accommodation for us. It is very close to the gate to the walled city center, literally only minutes away. The accommodations were exactly as described. Checkin/out was very easy and convenient. Our trip to Tuscany included stays in four separate locations and Villa Buonamici was by far our favorite. Do yourself a favor and stay at this Villa, you won’t be disappointed.'

"We werden opgewacht met open armen en kregen een warm welkom. Het ontbijt is iedere ochtend vers en voldoet prima. Zelfs bij een keer het missen van het ontbijt werden we verrast met een bord in onze kamer! De locatie is ook geweldig. Het is zo’n 10 minuten lopen van de binnenstad. Enige minpunten is dat de kamer niet geluiddicht was. Hierdoor was het verkeer van buitenaf goed te horen, maar na een dag veel wandelen merk je er niets van! :) Daarnaast zijn de kamers aan wat verfrissing toe. "
