'We loved our stay. From the outside the hotel looks run down and not operational but once inside it is gorgeous. The staff were so nice and shared the history of the building. Beautiful old hotel from 1870. Each room is decorated differently. The staircase defines grand. Bed was very comfortable and it was so quiet. We will be back for sure. '

'Four Mounds is a lovely B&B in a quiet and scenic location. The home is expertly maintained. Staff is available on an as needed basis but otherwise you are left to enjoy this beautiful place on your own.'

'As another review said: don’t like the name turn you away. It was an overall great experience. When we checked in the owner was very welcoming and nice, comfy beds (pillows aren’t the best), very clean but in general the hotel is slightly outdated and things need updated but it comes with time. It was very quite, not far from gas station and other accommodation’s- we traveled to galena after staying and it was a quick trip there. I would stay again! '
