This property is amazing. The view is great and if you are looking for a large house for friends or family this is it. I would say the beds need to be updated but it won’t stop us from coming back!

Tahoe Cedar Lakeview Lodge - Carnelian Bay Rental

Overall, the home provided a very enjoyable stay for our family. The deck on the back of the house, hot tub, pool table and ping pong table provided welcome entertainment and relaxation. Plenty of space, bedrooms, and bathrooms, however,there were shortages of towels to accomaddate everyone especially washclothes and hand towels.Additionally, the house appears to be well used and there are several items that need repair (shower door in the master bath does not close properly, toilet in master bath needs adjusted - water runs continually if not stopped by hand), several blinds do not operate properly (small bedrooom adjacent to the master bedroom, blind in the master bathroom). Additionally, the overall cleanliness of the house was poor - may have been due to a back-to-back booking. Some of the televisions did not work properly, although with all the activities available at/near the lake, that was not much of a concern.

Great house for big families

Beautiful house in a quiet neighborhood. Great for large groups/families with plenty spaces to be together or have some time apart. Wonderful entertaining deck and yard for the kids to play in. Stairs to every level so not ideal for anyone with mobility issues (but if you can get up/down the outside stairs and one flight inside everything you need is on the top level). Property management was quick to respond to questions. Would definitely stay here again when we return to Tahoe.

Great house, perfect for our group of friends!

We loved this house- lots of space, and clean. Location was about 15 min from Kings Beach. Partial lake view from the balcony was a bonus! Kids enjoyed the hot tub and pool table. Only issue was WiFi not working. Overall a great stay and we would definitely come back!

Avoid at all costs

Stay away. Just two words. We booked a weekend getaway for Tahoe with a few families with children but two huge snowstorm hit Tahoe over the weekend. Roads were closed, avalanche warnings, whiteout conditions, and NWS telling people not to travel the whole nine yards. We tried to cancel given we couldn’t even get to the property (our cars didn’t have 4WD and either don’t have chains that can go in them or leases that disallowed chains altogether). Not only did they say they wouldn’t cancel, they maintained we could still get there despite jackknifed big rigs all over I-80 with an even heavier storm coming during our stay. Regardless, even with that I was going to just forget it but then when I requested they refund the cleaning fee given we never even stayed there they refused that. I will always remember the name Tahoe Moon now because I will make sure I never stay in one of their properties. I recommend you do the same.

Fabulous vacation home

This is a wonderful house for a big family with lots of separation of rooms and then a great big living/dining and kitchen area to all hang out in. Peek views of the lake from the deck adds to the overall ambiance.

Beautiful Tahoe Get Away.

Lovely pet friendly home nestled between the tahoe pines. Plenty of amenities for a family gathering. Management needs to be pro-active on the up keep. Window coverings faucet & door handles not sufficiently secured. Despite those little things this home didn't disappoint. I would definitely rent this property again.

Post Christmas Wonderland

We rented this home for a post Christmas family get together for a group of 9 adults and one child plus a dog. We cooked all of our dinners at the house and the kitchen was incredibly well stocked with many pots, pans, dishes and glassware as well as spices and many staples. We especially enjoyed the large dining room table for our meals as well as many family games and crafts. The living room area was spacious and we used the gas fireplace nightly. With all of the snow that had fallen and continued to fall while we were there, we couldn’t have had more beautiful views. We didn’t spend as much time outside as we would have liked, but still ended up building a snowman and sled runway for our grandson with all of the snow in the yard. Several of our group enjoyed the hot tub nightly after a day of playing in the snow. We also appreciated that the driveway was plowed. We did wish that there had been a full propane tank for the outdoor table firepit and we could have used more bags for recycling and soap for the showers, otherwise things were great! We would definitely stay here again.

Best Tahoe vacation

Amazing property with great views! We had a grand time! The house has everything we needed. The boys had fun in their boy cave with the pool table. Location is great! We didn’t have to drive far to find a place to go sledding for the kids and adults.

The location and views are lovely. The layout of the home and the amenities are nice. We enjoyed our stay but wished the website showed a picture of the 2nd bedroom on the top floor. Some of the pillows and mattresses could be updated for better sleep. Pool table wasn't level. Hot tub was great.

We enjoyed our stay. Nice home. Plenty of room to spread out in the house so you are not on top of each other. Tahoe Moon Rentals was responsive to a dishwasher issue during our stay at the house.

Great home, clearly been hosting guests for many years evidenced by the kitchen and game equipment on board. The pictures on the website are an accurate depiction. Minor problem was reported to the office (no real need to repair, just informing) and a handyman was dispatched quickly to solve the issue. The new umbrellas on the deck are very helpful for summer lounging although as the handyman/owners' son-in-law opined, they (the two lighter bases) are prone to being blown over with mild breezes. Everyone enjoyed the home!

Great house for 11 guests and 2 dogs.

We were impressed with the cleanliness of this comfortable cabin. It was well stocked with all the essentials. Tahoe Moon provided good and timely information and the staff was receptive to questions and concerns. We would definitely book again going directly through this management team. Didn’t know why we paid a hefty management fee to VRBO. VRBO only made the reservation and did not respond later to a question. Overall, a very pleasant experience.

The property had a wonderful deck which we used every day. It was surrounded by beautiful trees, but wasn’t as secluded as we anticipated from the pictures. The house had plenty of space for our group. We love Lake Tahoe and would consider staying at this property again. The property mgmt company was responsive and easy to deal with.

Spacious Comfortable House

The house was large and comfortable, well stocked and had a beautiful back view. Unfortunately it was a very hot week and poor air quality due to fires so air conditioning would have helped a lot! We kept the windows closed most of the week to keep out the smoke. The management company brought us 2 fans and we appreciated that!

Family Gathering

We met from various parts of the country, and had 12 people, 5 of them under 5 years old. The layout of the house worked for the 2 families with kids, provided privacy for the sole teen, and had plenty of room for everyone together. The location, between Tahoe City and Kings Beach made it easy to access shopping, restaurants and recreation. We did laundry everyday, but still had plenty of towels (once we found them) for showers and beach. Note: laundry is on 3rd level down, and there is no laundry basket to be found, so we carried alot. The kitchen is overly stocked with pots, pans dishware and utensils, but look for the servers corkscrew in the drawer, the others were broken. We brought seasoning/spices but found several already there. There is a grill on the deck, and we had some great meals using it. If you have problems with stairs,(40ish level one to lawn below) this is not he property for you unless you stay on the first level and have someone else doing laundry. The hot tub is 3rd level down and there are a a few steps into the main entrance. Communicating with the office was easy and pleasant. We had a great time here, and if ever we have another big group, we would use this property again.

Lots of room and a great neighborhood

Big picture this is a great house. We loved the neighborhood with the hiking trails just two blocks away and the size was perfect for us. Having two master bedrooms with their own bathrooms is hard to find. We used the large dining table every night and that was so nice to have. The smaller details that some vacation rentals have to get a superhost type status are not in this rental. If you don’t care about smaller details you will have no problems. If you do you might notice things like there wasn’t a single hand towel or anything to dry hands on in the guest bath. In the master they only had two towels and a hand towel- no wash cloth and we couldn’t find a spare. The carpets could use a cleaning upstairs and things like the bath mats in the middle level bathroom were washed but a dingy brown-used to be pink. Overall we enjoyed our stay, but having done a lot of vacation rentals I did notice the details that were lacking.
