'Good place for a long stay. House items were outfitted very well and everything worked like it should.'

'Our room was very well decorated -- more creative and tasteful than most hotel rooms. Our particular room did not smell good, though. Hopefully, it was an isolated problem. Room for improvement: I think they should include valet parking in the price of the room. Free parking is included, but it is down the street on the other side of the road from the hotel. As a customer, it would "feel" a whole lot better not to be caught off guard by that.'

'Pros: The location to get to Cape Lookout for and early morning ferry was excellent and it was super quiet each night. Comfy beds and plenty of parking. Cons: The house had a strong old smoke smell throughout the house. Additionally there are areas in the floor that are super soft indicating rot. Everything was very worn (sheets, furniture covers, towels). Salt, pepper, coffee grounds, and a bottle of mac'n'cheese were literally the only things stocked in the kitchen. We were were super...

'Our stay at Silver Lake was wonderful, Hanna & John were perfect hosts and have done a great job with renovating both the hotel and The Jolly Roger! The room was spacious and well appointed with all needs met. The newly added rockers and side tables on the porch were enjoyable and the resort Bicycles made getting around a fun experience.'
