'This is one of the cleanest, most thoughtfully-decorated, and nicest hotels I've stayed in many years. Danville is my hometown and I usually do an up and back. I will be staying at The Laurel for all future visits. Very impressed with the reuse of this building.'

'The parking was a bit difficult as there were three or four rooms bunched together on a corner. Also the parking lot is in bad shape. From the outside it is all rather decrepit looking and I was almost hesitant to go into the office. But inside the office all was nice and the man on duty was very pleasant and helpful. 'Timberlake Motel was a great place to stay for graduation weekend at Liberty University. Nice to be away from the congestion but easy access to get on campus. The staff and owner went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed each day and they were always available to answer questions. This motel was very clean and so easy to maneuver through. I highly recommend it for graduation weekend and any other busy weekend in the area!'

'Totally understand that they are under construction and things are big time awry. Parking lot and parking spaces where a hassle and temporary security lights that were in the parking lot were lit during the day and not lit at night which made the security of my self and vehicle a little worrisome at night. Inside of the premises were perfect and every aspect of that were also great.'

The owner provided clear and easy to understand instructions. It had everything we needed and would happily stay here again.'

'Room was disgusting! Toilet was dirty and surfaces overall unclean upon checkin. I had to wipe and disinfect prior to being comfortable enough to stay in the room. The hotel was allegedly sold out so there were no other rooms. Front desk ladies are nice but it is not nearly worth the amount charged. I would like a refund. '
