However it was also only 1/2 block from the Red Light District which was a surprise. But we never felt unsafe even in the evenings (it was light till 10:30pm). 'Great apartment in a fun location. We really enjoyed being right in/on the edge of the hustle and bustle. And the location on the canal we were on was excellent. 'We really liked this apartment and Mario was an excellent host! It's very clean and well stocked. It's located very close to the red light district and walking distance to everything in the City Center, including the Metro which is very close and Amsterdam Central Station. 'Mario was great! So friendly and accommodating! The 2 bathroom description was a misleading. Only one toilet and one shower. I think it could be improved by allowing some light into the apartment and ability to open windows, felt a little like a cave. Great location, everyone within walking distance. '
