Unmatched coastal views, peaceful setting, and thoughtful extras

We only stayed one night while passing through but it was a highlight! This was one of the most memorable coastal stays we’ve had. The inside of the room is clean, comfortable, and well above standard—well maintained with everything you need and more —but it’s the views that truly make this place exceptional. Whether you’re outside admiring the flower garden or relaxing outdoors or indoors, the scenery is absolutely stunning.There are plenty of outdoor chairs thoughtfully placed for reading, sipping coffee, or simply soaking in the sun and ocean air. If it’s rainy or indoors is more your style, there’s a cozy little library area with a large picture window and ocean view—perfect for a quiet moment There are also many great restaurants nearby as well as a Fred Meyer a mile or less away. We had a small issue come up, and Patrick addressed it quickly and kindly, showing real care for the our experience. Overall, our Coastal Cliffs stay in Brookings, Oregon was peaceful, we felt well cared for, and loved all of the breathtaking views. Highly recommend if you’re in the area!

Everything about this place shouts northern coastline. Goods eats nearby. Tucked away. Cliffs edge outlook. Gated property. Loved watching the sunset with wrapped in our blankets the house provided. The manager was a hoot, in the best way possible.

To allow yourself to just "sit still" in a busy world is priceless..This place is perfect for anyone looking to shut down and enjoy the beauty the world has to offer..The owners are amazing..the views are spectacular and the rooms are filled with love and goodies..

Perfect Getaway

We had the best time staying at this property! The unit was so clean and had everything we needed for a short getaway. Patrick and Barbara were so kind and beyond helpful! Anything you needed they were just a text away. The viewpoints on the property were perfect for watching the stunning sunsets. We would love to come back someday to explore the area even more!

Cozy Gem

This unit is one of many offered by the host. This unit is not the closest to the ocean and doesn't offer any ocean views. A spectacular ocean view is accessible from the nearby deck. This unit does get some traffic noise from the highway during commuter hours, but the rental price reflects that, in my opinion. There are many other rooms with ocean views and quieter locations offered by the house, but not at the discount price of this one.

Lovely in Brookings

This is a beautiful property with jaw dropping views. It is very well equipped. We thought the layout was a bit awkward and the furniture in our unit was too big for the space but those things didn’t detract from our enjoyment of this lovely property.

Perfection!

The property is beautiful. Gorgeous gardens, stunning views of the Ocean. Patrick was there to show us around the property and let us in our room. The suite was very clean ( cleanest VRBO I’ve ever rented). It was stocked with everything we could want or need, robes, slippers, extra blankets, beach towels, cereal, hot cocoa , coffee. And stocked with things you may have forgotten to bring, toothbrush, floss, razor, sewing kit, etc. There were recommendations for places to eat and visit. Harris beach is a two minute drive away. The redwoods 30 minutes. We spent 5 days and wish we could have stayed longer. We will definitely be back!

Amazing Property, Kind Hosts but no Bathroom Sink

We rented the studio. It would have been okay except there is too much “stuff” in the room (making it feel smaller than it is) and I we really didn’t like having to brush our teeth or shave in the kitchen sink. Hosts are thoughtful and they stocked the mini kitchen with nice amenities but the entry where they are doing construction was uninviting and the sink thing was really upsetting. The property makes up for it though. Stunning, stunning views!! You can’t reach the beach though because of a property dispute. You’d really have to read between the lines to understand the disclosure on the beach and the sink when you are booking so just know that going in. Still enjoyed ourselves though!!

We were charmed by the way Patrick introduced himself and showed us all the amenities around the place. Such a beautiful property in a truly majestic location. We felt relaxed and comfortable during our stay and appreciate all the little “extras” offered inside the room and around the property.

Prime Location, Gorgeous View, but may not be for everyone

I wish I could rate this 4.5 stars. There's so much to love. It's right off US 101, 1/4mile S of Harris State Park and 1/2 mile N of the heart of Brookings -- yet super quiet. No road noise. The helpful owners live on the property and we lodged in a duplex right across the courtyard. What makes this special is your access to their side patio with that incredible sunset view pictured on their listing. The bed is comfy and the room has a lot of extras that show a loving touch such as snacks, beach towels, ample toiletries and a nice collection of interesting books. So what's not to like? The room lacks storage with no closet, only two available drawers (one is tiny) and every nook and cranny spoken for. There's only one luggage rack. I left that for my wife and had to pile my clothes on top of one of their very nice, overstuffed chairs. The irony is that the room has lots of games and story books for small children. I can't imagine how a family with a small child would function there. Try to understand: I knew this would be a small efficiency and I loved staying in small roomed, Japanese hotels (ex. Nikko in San Francisco). But the space in those rooms was so well designed and I never felt cramped. Not so here. So, if you are a couple traveling light -- say taking a long weekend get away -- by all means stay here. You will love it. But, if you are traveling with several big bags, know that it is tight.

Ocean Get-Away!

The property was beautiful, no better view on the coast! The studio was stocked with everything you could need & more, it was very thoughtful! Patrick met us and showed us around he was such a delight. Everything was clean and tidy we will definitely be staying here again.

A beautiful place

This was one of the most attractive locations we’ve stayed, with amazing landscaping and rhododendrons in bloom. It was sparkling clean, the host was friendly and helpful, and anything you might need was provided. Our only issue was that the unit was much smaller than we expected and we felt cramped. Maybe I didn’t read the description carefully enough.

Perfect property BEGINNING TO END. Communication with the hosts was great. All our requests and questions were answered and fulfilled promptly and completely. The property and public areas are very beautiful and spacious. From the ocean view decks to the ocean view public room. Hosts were very friendly and there when needed. But, invisible otherwise. Like great neighbors ! Although they have several different units on this property available for you to choose our stay was completely quiet. Will be my ONLY choice when in the area again. Wonderful beach/redwoods getaway

This property is beautifully kept and maintained and Barbara and Patrick really go the extra mile to make guests feel welcome and comfortable. Very thoughtful touches like snacks, coffee, toiletries, and other things that were appreciated on our weekend getaway. The property is very quiet and restful and was perfect for our needs. The location was great for our needs too. Brookings is a cute small town with amazing beaches and scenery that we loved exploring. We also used it as a base camp to explore the redwoods which are only about 30 minutes away. We will definitely be back on our next trip to southwestern Oregon!

Short but sweet

The studio was perfect for our quick 2 day trip and the “ small” touches were huge to us. Extra Kleenex boxes in the room, extra power strip for electronics and USBs, extra towels and soft blankets. ( Lots more. ) Plenty of privacy, and a wonderful private space outside, overlooking the ocean to do my online class. We would definitely stay again as we enjoyed the space and Patrick and Barbara.

Coastal Cliffside

We enjoyed a delighful stay on the Brookings bluffs overlooking a beautiful slice of the Oregon coast. Our host Patrick met us with a smile and walked with us to our room. Our quarters were well appointed wiyh a stunning view. We thoroughly enjoyed our sojourn in style.
