'Staff were polite and courteous and gave us a room upgrade on arrival which was unexpected but very nice. Large room, clean with a nice big bathroom, room was nice and warm and had all the amenitrequired for a short stay. Breakfast was very good with quality ingredients, overall it was a very good stay and I would not hesitate to return.'

'Extremely disappointing stay and nowhere near the standard expected for a superior room. We had booked a twin room but were initially given a double. When we were eventually moved to the twin room we had actually booked, the condition of it was unacceptable. There was hair across the bathroom, stained bedding, significant dust throughout the room and heavy dirt and buildup around the extractor fan and light fittings. The coffee machine still contained water and used pods from the previous...

'Beautiful and quiet hotel with a great atmosphere! The staff is amazing—super friendly and attentive. The pub is so cozy, and the food is great. We loved everything about our stay and will definitely be back! 10/10.'

'Hidden Gem. Nice old authentic pub annex inn. Courtyard beer garden and several bars in different levels in different styles. Really nice rooms and very pleasant staff. 10/10 recommandations'

'Beautiful grounds and garden. Helpful staff. Comfortable room and bed, tasty breakfast. Only complaint, the front entrance is locked a little early for a Saturday evening, took 2 calls to get the entrance opened. But would recommend.'

'Lovely place '

'We really enjoyed our brief stay.Such charming staff. My only question would be,please keep fresh milk in the room fridge, for tea in the morning. We would like to come back to stay in one of the thank4 bed lodges, overlooking the lake, next time.'

'Fantastic stay in the cottage - immaculately presented room with loads of space and a very nice selection of snacks. The staff in the Inn were incredibly welcoming and made for a totally relaxed break. Food at dinner and breakfast was delicious. Cannot recommend highly enough'

'A wonderful old pub in a fantastic location just off the main street going through Burford. A lovely room which we enjoyed, but the staff just felt a but distant, making errors with drinks. Food presentation lacked flair and lacked imagination. In summary, a great room but eat elsewhere to enjoy it best.'

'The staff was very friendly and helpful. The city centre is a 35 - 40 minute walk. You can also take the bus which stops 5 minutes walking distance from the hotel. The rooms aren't very special but will do for a short stay'

'Loft room was more spacious than expected. Staff were friendly and helpful. A nice base in the Cotswolds'
