'Carol’s place was great! The cottage was super cosy especially with the fireplace. Our dog loved exploring the big garden and it was great knowing the whole area was secure for him to zoom around. Will definitely be back for our next trip to the mountains!'

'Staying at Madison’s Mountain Retreat was the perfect getaway and experience for my family. We stayed 3 nights and really enjoyed the atmosphere of the grounds. Anne’s warm welcome and knowledge about the animals was excellent and we all enjoyed feeding the Alpacas, Llamas & Goats. The indoor pool was great for a quick swim & we felt nice and cosy in the rustic cabin accommodation which had a lovely view of the alpacas and farm. We will definitely be back. '

'This cottage is the perfect weekend getaway to stay at in the season of autumn. We had everything we needed and more, Olwen and her family were lovely and responded quickly to communication. We even had left behind items arranged to be picked up in Sydney thanks to her kindness. A must stay cottage if you are travelling to the mountains this year!'

'I rate this property highly but it’s in no way luxurious so don’t be fooled by the rating. The property was very clean inside and well equipped. Two bedrooms weren’t huge with no wardrobes. The a/c fan is extremely noisy. Sounds like a bike idling. Furnishings are quite sparse but adequate. Entry was quite dirty with bags of linen left all weekend for pickup. The garden needs a really good trim as it’s quite dark in the house. Lawn needed a mow. In saying all that, I would still stay again....

'What a pleasant surprise when we walked in to find a cosy and quaint little unit with everything we needed. We had a lovely 4 night stay and would definitely recommend if you want somewhere close to the 3 sisters. Communication was excellent. '

'Comfortable and clean, with almost everything we needed and in an ideal location. We loved the attractive interior and outside deck - and didnt even mind the "cat" quirkiness, though we're generally dog people! All in all, a very enjoyable short stay. Highly recommended.'

'Blackheath is one of our favourite parts of the Mountains and we enjoyed our few days in the cottage. It is close to great walks and shops. We loved the leafy secure front and back yards for our dog and kids to enjoy. Hosts easy to communicate with and we appreciated the later check-out. Wifi worked well too! Sweeping views of the hills, cosy fireplace with plenty of fire wood, plenty of space, lovely cottage garden and lawn, great location, friendly and kind hosts who were very responsive, and a very friendly sheep called Flossy! You can tell that a lot of effort has gone into creating a perfect stay and it has paid off. We’ll be back.'

'A cottage well off the beaten track. No TV and wifi for 2 nights. Then it rained and the cloud was low so sightseeing was out of the question. Spent the day blobbing out reading and DVD watching. Best possible place to spend a day doing this.'
