BrookView is an aptly named, enchanting log cabin atop a lovely brook. Set in the woods in Fair Mountain Acres and surrounded by rhododendron, but less than 5 miles from downtown Blowing Rock. This large 2,400 square foot, air-conditioned home provides three outside porches (all furnished with comfortable seating and tables for dining). The top back porch is screened and overlooks the brook. Along with the brook, the secluded one acre lot includes a fire pit for cooking hot dogs or smores with the family.

As you enter BrookView you will find a great room with living area with a two story fireplace, a kitchen and dining area. The living area has a large stone 2-story fireplace with gas logs and a brand new 60” HDTV with a Blu-Ray player and surround sound. The master bedroom is on the main level and comes with a king bed, 50” HDTV, and private bathroom. Upstairs you have the open loft that has a queen bed and overlooks the great room. Also, you will find an upstairs bedroom with a king bed, TV, and another bathroom. Downstairs has four full size beds set up as bunks, a den area, Smart TV, foosball table and full bathroom

This is a perfect location with easy access to the Blue Ridge Parkway, Grandfather Mountain, Appalachian Ski Mountain, the town of Blowing Rock, the Blowing Rock Equestrian Preserve, Bass & Trout Lakes, Linville Caverns, Tweetsie Railroad, the Westglow Resort & Spa, the Tanger Shoppes on the Parkway, and much much more!

GREAT place - only one snag.

This place is CRAZY nice and CRAZY clean - well done! QUALITY furniture and dishes, etc... the only thing I would suggest is to take down the fire pit as an amenity. Is was completely unusable - and it was one of the things we planned to do every night - so this was a BIG BUMMER! Amenities are the reason we chose certain places, and part of the reason for cost of a rental, so I would at least update that it might not be available. This home was perfection otherwise.

Our party of four adults really enjoyed the cabin. We mostly treated it like a motel room. No cooking or use of the jacuzzi. But the kitchen was set up well and seemed to have all the equipment and utensils necessary. The decor was rustic without going overboard. Beds were comfy.Great location, Easy access to property. We may certainly return if the need for a larger place arises again.
